Very nice and warm place to have some lunch. Despite the short menu, every item is delicious and is a great amount for the flat cost customers pay. The host and all of the servers are very social and polite with guests.

If you want to have a good meal and be doing some good at the same time try JBJ Soul Kitchen. All of the workers are volunteers and the meals are inexpensive. If you pay more then you owe, they pay it forward and someone will benefit. Please try it.

This was a fantastic experience. The minute I walked in the host was extremely warming, welcoming friendly and informative. She gave me a lot of resources to try to use. The food was excellent.. I had broccoli and cheddar soup which was the best.I've ever had. For dinner, I had the beef tacos and finally four dessert, I went with the fruit cup. A+++ I'll definitely be coming here often because it's great and well, it's also for a good cause..

What a great concept, and a beautiful way to feed people healthy, delicious food. Everyone is welcome to enjoy, whether they can pay or not. And we enjoyed every bite! I had a citrus salad, grilled chicken sandwich with pesto and mozzarella, and a cheesecake tart. Delicious! We enjoyed conversing with the chef and staff volunteers, too.

My cousins and I were curious to experience the JBJ Soul Kitchen as we have heard many good things about it. We ate at the Toms River location. The restaurant was bustling with positivity. The servers were beyond gracious. The food was outstanding. I had the soup and fish tacos. Wonderful! I gained a new interpretation of the phrase ''soul food".
