Mangia Brick Oven Pizza - Toms River, NJ

I love going there . The food is amazing the staff is awesome. Fresh food great chicken rolls and salads.

My family and I have ordered pizza from Mangia for years, and we never had any issues….until this past weekend. We ordered a pie as usual, and due to weekend hours, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait. Well, instead we waited nearly 2 hours! Once the pizza did arrive, it was ice cold. We called the pizzeria right away to let them know the issue ,and we were told that the manager was not around. The staff then mentioned that he would call us back the same day. Yet, we never heard back. I called again to speak with the manager and was told the reason we didn’t receive a call was due to a power outage. That’s understandable, but after a 19 minute back and forth battle, we still weren’t even compensated for the money we spend on food we couldn’t eat. I was shocked at how I was treated after years of loyalty to this establishment. I’m so upset, because we’ve always been loyal customers here. Hopefully nobody else is treated this way.

I am disappointed every time I get food from here. It's never cooked/made right. The Mangia in Jackson is waaayyy better.

Ordered penne vodka. It was nothing special, actually pretty tasteless . Also there was a 3.5 % credit/debit card fee.

First time dining in without ordering pizza and the meals were spectacular. Ria was our waitress and so personable. She took the time to ask questions and share stories of our families. Could not be happier with this whole dining experience! We will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic service, amazing atmosphere, and the most delicious food my wife and I have tried since moving to Toms River. Loved everything about this place.

My daughter was just charges $14 for plain pasta and then $8 for 2 meatballs instead of one dinner. When I called the employee was very rude and said he didn’t care if we came back. Never going there again.

This was my first time coming with my husband. The atmosphere was nice! Felt very comforting and homey. I do have celiac so I have to eat gluten free. The pizza was actually very good. I was pleasantly surprised as it most times is hit or miss. I enjoyed the food, my husband had the cheesesteak and mentioned how nice the bread was as well. We also had the cheese fries and those were good too! Will definitely come back!!

I want to give this at least 4 stars…orders the antipasto salad, it’s good but hardly any meat which is surprising because their subs have a lot of meat. 3oz. Of meat and cheese. Had to add protein myself.

Came tonight with my son to eat before a show we were excited for. I paid in cash and asked for a receipt because I save them all to add up at the end of the month to track my spending. The counter person was upset with this and started reading off the prices like I didn’t trust him or something. He rolled his eyes then printed it for me. I said it was for there and he looked over a few minutes later with the food already in the box I said that’s ok I’ll just take a few plates and we can eat it. I got a slice and chicken roll to split with my son. I cut it down the middle and we both took bites and it was very cold in the middle. It was barely even warm at the ends. I felt uncomfortable to ask to heat it back up after the receipt encounter and because we took bites.

We couldn’t enjoy our food and had an overall uncomfortable experience.
