We’ve been coming here for years but after Pat and Janessa took over it quickly became our favorite place. The new menu is great and everything we’ve had has been awesome. Jim, Mary and the rest of the staff do a great job behind the bar and the sight lines for your favorite sports makes Mac’s a great spot to unwind after a tough day at work. The white pie is off the charts for all you pizza lovers. Oh and the Irish Nachos are Back!!!

Burrata , when she came back with our drinks I ordered just classic chicken fingers . My sisters came out pretty quick we were there an hour . She had finished her food (which usually people like to eat together when they go out BUT WHAT I KNOW... I worked in food for 10 years ) , I'm still waiting on mine.. also put my drink up front to politely give heads when ready I'm ready , waited 10 minutes before the ladies to my left instantly refilled their wine before finished , I asked my sister hey put your drink next to mine maybe she's not seeing me , sister puts her NEXT to mine instantly made her a new one and I couldn't say a word before she left . 2 bartenders same section couldn't make eye contact , finally after speaking up loudly (which I hate) I had just told them to cancel my hour long chicken fingers ... I had been to Mac's ONCE years ago I was loving the atmosphere and I truly wanted to come try their singo bingo the next week. They were pissed off as if I had done something wrong ? Shaking heads . I work in food service I tip very well when I'm treated even just decent because you deserve it. But I can promise I will not be coming back .

Very good menu with generous portions and excellent service. I really recommend the Southwest Chicken Salad. The blackened chicken and dressing have so much flavor! The greens are super fresh too. Really good!

It's a bar/restaurant with multiple screens showing various sporting events. I really don't like having a full sit-down meal at sports pubs, but it wasn't crazy at Mac's & the TVs weren't too loud at all at the tables, & didn't interfere w/ conversation.
The food was delicious... I had to take my main course home in a doggie bad because I filled up on the Disco Fries appetizer. My companion raved about the French Onion Soup. The Penne w/ Vodka & chicken was very good & came with lots of warm delicious garlic bread. But the big surprise was the Chicken Cobb Salad: I know it's only a salad, but OMG it was great! I can't wait to go back & get some more.

I've been coming to Mac's for so long (back when they were in the old Kmart plaza on 37!) and I always have a great experience. Some nights it's busier than others; and on some nights my friends and I are the only ones there! Never had bad service, and all of the bartenders have always been friendly. When the new owners took over, many changes happened, for what I think was the better. Not that Mac's was bad before, but I think it got turned up a few notches, especially with the menu. Complete overhaul of the menu was great - especially the addition of the French Onion Soup!! Lately, we've been coming in for their Monday Night BOGO dinner specials, and I gotta say I have mixed feelings about it. I don't like that they're so busy now that it takes me longer to get a table, but I also love the fact that they're so busy because it means the business is doing well!! The last thing I want is for my favorite pub to go under because of declining patronage - and that doesn't look like it'll happen. Routinely get AWESOME service from our server Susanne - and Jimmy behind the bar always knows how to make my drink just right. The MNF crew will be back in full force again this year!

Great food, but horrible and unfriendly service from Mary. I’ve been a regular for a couple months but I won’t return. Unfortunate, but there are plenty of other options in Toms River. Other bartenders, especially Sydney and Tina go above and beyond. Sad that one can kill the entire experience. While understanding that bartenders and management have the right and actual responsibility, to cut off alcohol to those they feel have had enough. I’d expect a more professional delivery of that message. As a 63 yr old handicapped stroke victim, I am unable to drive and always secure a ride or pay for an uber. A simple, “let’s make this your last one” would be more accepted than an unpleasant bartender shoving the bill your way. Regardless, bartenders ego wins again. Still lots of positives at Macs, just depends on the mood of the bartenders.
It’s good you back your employees. I will differ with you on some of their professionalism. Agreeing to disagree is part of life. I wish you and your business continued success. I will move forward with businesses that want and respect my patronage. With no hard feelings, I wish you well.

My sister and I came in one day after a friend’s recommendation, and unfortunately, we won’t be returning. We shared a few appetizers — which were actually pretty good — but the service ruined the experience. I work in the industry as a bartender, and if I treated guests the way our server Mary did, I’d be fired. She was rude and completely unprofessional. My sister felt the same way. I’m not someone who usually complains, but I really hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates who’s representing their business.

Went there for the first time last night. Food was average. My burger was very dry even with the ketchup on it. Pizza was good. Our waitress must of had a bad day because she was very rude .
