I feel compelled to write this review because even though I’ve gotten takeout here before, my meal tonight was the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten, not only here but at any Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. I bought two combo meals - chicken w. broccoli and sesame chicken with pork fried rice for both. I also ordered shrimp toast and wonton soup. Both combo meals tasted delicious and had a lot of chicken. The shrimp toast was spectacular and the wonton soup was loaded w. dumplings; much more than you would expect. I would highly recommended No.1 China. ?

I thought long and hard about this one, and even gave it a day over. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I ordered on a Friday night around 9, and the person taking my order made it obvious that they were considering whether they wanted my business or not on a Friday night. I only ordered here because my usual spot was closed and I will NEVER order from here again. Took, 50 minutes for delivery;which ain’t the end of the world but, the person taking my order didn’t make me feel comfortable. And on top of that, the food was just bad. Like how do you mess up egg foo young? My egg patties were burnt, I can tell my sauce was sitting. Spent $30 with tip to toss my food. Horrible experience.

Had a craving at lunch time at the office. Order with a couple of other coworkers. Embarrassed and disappointed at the quality of the food we received. The pork fried rice was "gray" in color and had a funky aftertaste. The fried wontons were barely fried. The sauce for the chicken sticks was rancid and ended up in the garbage. The wonton soup was flavorless and watered down. The only decent items were the spring rolls and the shrimp chow mein. I should have contacted the restaurant immediately but I really didn't think we'd get anywhere. Almost $50 for food not worth $20. Will never order from here again.

Ordered delivery for the first time from No.1 China. The Rangoon's were yummy. The wonton soup was exactly like it should taste yummy. The chicken and broccoli was fresh and delicious. I found my new Chinese takeout.
So I am not the type to write reviews about any restaurant but today while I was in toms River, I was in the mood for Chinese. I went to the restaurant and I found it to be a little dirty right from the start. I still ordered, and while I was waiting for the food to be done, I was watching the woman, used her hands to take white rice out of the rice cooker and put it into a pint with her bare hand and then after she looked at the rice in the pint, she continued to pick something out of it, I said to her is that my rice she said no since I was already on edge with that I was watching them cook my food. The guy next to the guy preparing my food literally put the spoon with the which they use for sauce in his mouth to taste it , I then said to the owner can I please have my money back this is beyond filthy and disgusting The guy who was putting orders together, went in the kitchen to look, what was going on, I said to him that is disgusting. He used the same spoon to cook the food after he put it in his mouth he said no that was the food he was cooking for me, but why would he put the spoon back in the center of the kitchen where they cook instead of a sink, I was completely disgusted. I cannot believe this place is up and running. It is filthy inside and the people working there are not sanitary either I wouldn’t wouldn’t even give this place a half a star I don’t care how good the food is that is completely unsanitary, and should be shut down by the board of health.
My go to Chinese takeout spot, absolutely love everything on the menu. I crave it every single week. Also, the delivery driver Brandon was a great dude so friendly and got here quick! 10/10 would recommend. NUMBER ONE CHINA IS NUMBER ONE! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've come here for most of my life and it's the always been the best Chinese food in Toms River. Hands down cannot be topped. I highly suggest the General Tsos and crab Rangoon! If I could give more stars I would.
