Anthony the owner is one of the nicer people you'll ever meet and he clearly gets it from his mother who works with him and is also super kind and quick to great you as you come in. The food is amazing and competitively priced. Would highly recommend this deli to anyone looking for delicious food made by great people.

Walked in looking for bread and got the warmest hello followed by warm bread that is definitely one of the best fresh breads I've had in a long while. The guys there are hilarious and I highly recommend going and trying the bread.

We catered for a large party. The fettuccine Alfredo was buttered noodles and dry. The penne vodka was also dry even with the extra sauce. We had two large salads and one tiny cup of dressing, let me say it’s embarrassing when your guests ask for salad dressing. None of my guests ate the sausage and peppers. To say the least my husband and I were embarrassed.. And we put out a great deal of money. Will never use Scala again for anything.

Ordered 2 1/2 subs. Charged $27. Asked for menu and they did not have one but said they would send it. When I got it the most expensive sub was 10.50. Overpriced!!! The man behind the counter was nice and had a good personality, but that does not make up for the price. No AC. Food out in open with temp over 90. Place is extremely dirty and cluttered. Needs a deep clean and paint.

Just moved here a couple months ago from Parsippany. What a place to feel welcomed. Great atmosphere to be in for the first time. My italian wife loves escarole and bean soup, so happy I finally found a place she likes. Ended up picking up a few more things and Anthony and mama threw in several more items, fantastic first visit. Will definitely be back to order more things on the menu. Anyone who wants to try some good italian things I recommend Scala's Deli....

I asked for a menu over Facebook for catering and they sent it to me. I called 2 days later and ordered for my sisters shower they charged me 20-40 more per tray. I told them how they sent me a menu with different pricing and he blamed inflation? How is that even possible when you sent me the menu 2 days prior. Will never order from them again and neither will all of my friends and family I told this too!
