Sweet Carolina Barbecue Tims River is the best! The brisket is tender, juicy and flavorful!!! The cornbread is vey moist it melts in your mouth! The best baked beans and Cole slaw are delicious! Those are my family’s favorites! Their pulled pork and chicken is also very good! They also make a delicious whole chicken!!! The food is great! The service is wonderful! They go out of their way to help make a delicious meal for your party wither it is for 5 or 20+ people. I have had them cater my parties and everyone loves Sweet Carolinas Bbq!! Give them a try you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you for always making my parties food a success!!!

The first order of ribs was supposed to be dry rubbed and were sauced so I went to swap them for plain-they are like a lump of charcoal. Terrible.

While I was super excited to try this restaurant after craving BBQ ribs I decided to get the rib dinner plate and I wasn’t very thrilled with what I received. The ribs weren’t cooked thru, very tough and on top of that there wasn’t bbq sauce on the ribs themselves it was on the side which defeats the purpose of bbq ribs the fried okra was great the collards were too vinegary and the cornbread stuck to the parchment bag so wasn’t able to eat. Maybe it was just a bad night but I was very disappointed with my order and am reluctant on returning.

Great food and service. Nice atmosphere that is great for BBQ. The pulled chicken is our favorite, but the pulled pork and brisket are a close second. The sides are great - Mac & Cheese is out of this world.

I have to come back for the ribs. The food is fantastic! Go, and enjoy!

We just moved to Tom’s river and we tried Sweet Carolina’s BBQ for the first time. Needless to say, we will definitely be back!! It was hands down the best brisket sandwich I’ve ever had. Our family also loved the ribs, Mac & cheese and that amazing sweet cornbread. If you’re considering ordering from here, do it! You won’t regret it!

We tried a bit of everything - ribs two ways, pulled chicken and pork, and brisket, plus a few sides. Everything was excellent. It's great to have top notch BBQ that I don't have to spend two days making myself!

We were lucky enough to find this place while driving through town. Honestly, this is some of the best BBQ I have had (even having been in NC a few weeks ago!). The meats were all incredible, the sauce was perfect. It was some of the best coleslaw I have ever had. You gotta try this place. Get everything!

Hands down the best Southern style BBQ Ive had here in Central Jersey. Definitely going back again soon and the staff are really friendly, they make you fell like you’re at home. 10 out of five stars!

The brisket sandwich was enjoyable. It wasn't the best I have ever had ( that honor goes to the BBQ spots in Lockhart Texas), but pretty legit by Jersey standards.

Mac and cheese was better than average

I haven't had cheerwine soda in years so it was nice to see in stock locally.

Staff was friendly.

All in all I wouldn't go far out of my way to go here, but definitely good enough to go back.
