Found this gem of a local cafe/diner when I first moved into the neighborhood 4 years ago. It's become my 2nd home! Always delicious, god food served with a smile and excellent value.
A little voice was telling me that this wasn't going to be a good place probably since it's in an isolated location along the Passaic River and snuck in between two big cemeteries. I came here for the first time on a Sunday at noon. It was perhaps 30% full. I took a seat at the counter and ordered the (open faced) Hillery Street Tuna Melt which came with fries, small pickle and small cole slaw. All the employees were upbeat and attentive. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and offered to sit anywhere we wanted...we sat at the bar close to action and even though they didn’t have hollandaise sauce they still offered to make my eggs Benedict...I loved the food it was delicious and the atmosphere was great 10/10
