An excellent dining experience in an Historical place! The estate captures the romance of an era gone by with the setting, staff, and menu. The best selection of culinary delights to meet any expectation. The entire experience rates actually much more than 5 star and will forever be a great memory!

We ordered the ribeye. It was very good but way too expensive! They had a fish special which was never offered to us. Regulars at the next table got treated better than us and were offered the special fish. Place looks run down. We will definitely not go back!

Started out bad when I called for reservation, asked if they had a table for 2. The guy who answered said see you and hung up the phone. Heard fantastic things about the restaurant so against my better judgement we still went. It’s basically a dingy old farmhouse, which could be appealing if everything else was great but it just added to the bad experience. One waiter in particular was overall just rude and short with us. The steak and chicken parm were good, the pasta with the special sauce was not great all, tasted like burnt garlic and was super oily. Bill was over $200 to be treated like dirt, would never return.

First time there, and from Trenton. I ordered eggplant parm, no pasta for dietary reasons. It was the smallest portion of eggplant you could imagine drowned in sauce. And I am a small woman, so that says a lot. And as you all know, dining out costs. I was disappointed to say the least. On a positive note, our server had a great personality, great sense of humor.

We have been loyal customers of Chick’s for decades-literally generations. This place was at the heart of our family gatherings forever. We now live in Florida and I made a reservation for 2 (my parents) while they were up north for a dear friend’s funeral. The staff would not add 1 person to the reservation, a sick elderly friend in the area that was going to be driven there to have a beautiful and rare evening out with friends. The guy (Peter, maybe?) simply said absolutely not to adding 1 person to the reservation in this exceptional case. His tone and attitude on the phone was absolutely horrible. He didn’t care who, what, or why this seat was needed. He was stuck on no-and would not find a creative way to make a night of nostalgia special for these loyal patrons. New management with zero people skills. They could take some notes from those that got them to where they are now. What a shame - I sure hope y’all don’t lose those recipes - without them, you’re a big zero.
One of our favorites. Great people. Great food! Make sure to get the Peanut Butter Ice Cream for dessert.

An outstanding old-school atmosphere, with excellent service, and traditional homemade Italian food, with great appetizers and salads.Great service from Tom, with an assist from Peter and staff. Our first time going, and will be back soon!

I love this place. It reminds me of having dinner at my grandfather's when I was a young kid. The food is better and my grandfather was a great cook. I cannot recommend a restaurant higher than this.

What we thought was going to be an enjoyable evening, turned out to be anything but enjoyable. First, I notice a women at another table point her finger at our table of 5, naive me thought she knew my sister as she has been a Pediatric NP in Trenton for 30 years and runs a clinic for children there now. The treatment was so rude, we had our food, which as usual was wonderful, packed to go as soon as served. No water offered, no appetizers offered, even though we ordered stuffed clams, never got them and unsure if they were on the check. We had just sat down to bread and salad, only to be asked for the 5 of us to be quiet, along with a table of 11 or 12 there too. The biggest surprise is that the rude not fun, jovial waiter was part owner. Shame on you!! This has never happened to me or my family who were there with me and grew up in the restaurant business. It was truly my worst restaurant experience ever!

Used to love this place. I live at the shore, so it’s a commitment to drive there and back, but my excitement to go this night was epicurean, as it had been quite a while since we delighted in Jose’s,(the waiter never offered his name) service maybe 15 or more years ago. I thought it was going to be a wonderful experience as it has been for many times throughout the years. It’s a family friendly wonderfully Italian restaurant. At first we thought the waiter was being funny but quickly realized it was just plain rude. There was a table of 11 and then we were 5 and both waiters asked that we quiet down for a table of 4, I guess they were insulted by good conversation, no cursing or vulgar remarks of any kind by any tables, and asked to be removed to another table in the kitchen. I guess they were desperate to get there. Just before I went I talked this place up to at least 5 friends that planned to go. I’ll be shore to let them know.
