Clean and well organized
The Sunoco is the best part of this service plaza. Their Aplus store has so much to offer and great gas service. I only stop here.
Worst rest stop ever. Every single restaurant was overwhelmed and they could not keep up with the customers. Food orders taking forever and many items unavailable
Easy in and out, has everything a person could need while traveling
Nu, the Richard Stockton Service Area — this is not a place, this is a whole matzav.
You’re driving on the Turnpike, everything is fine…
then suddenly it hits you:
coffee, bathroom, or just a break before you lose your daas.
Boom — you pull in.
First thing you notice?
It’s busy. Always. Doesn’t matter if it’s day, night, or some random hour — there’s always a chevra coming and going like it’s a mini airport.
Inside, you’ve got the usual lineup — fast food, snacks, drinks — everything you need to keep going.
Nothing gourmet, but tachlis — it does the job.
Now the bathrooms…
Let’s just say, be prepared for a shtikel line sugya, especially during peak times. You might be standing there like,
“Is this a rest stop or a whole event?”
But to be fair — for how busy it gets, it’s usually kept reasonably clean, which is already a big zach.
Seating areas are there, but catching a good spot when it’s packed?
That’s already a bit of a competition.
Now l’inyan a Shidduch date…
Let’s be very clear:
If you ended up here on a date, something went very off-script.
Unless you’re mamash holding in middle of a long drive and it’s a quick “coffee and continue,” this is not the place you planned. You don’t want your first impression to be:
“So… which fast food line should we stand in together?”
That said — if both sides are chilled and laughing about it, it could turn into a funny story for later.
But lechatchila? Definitely not.
Bottom line:
Richard Stockton Service Area is a solid, reliable stop when you need it — food, bathroom, stretch, and keep moving.
You don’t come here for the experience…
you come because you need to.
Small parking
Great experience!
Nice clean restroom! Very nice rest area!
It's a service area. Relatively well kept. Gas.
I grew up in New York and used to come to this restaurant stop as a child. They really fix this place real good. The bathrooms are real nice and actually clean

Stopped threw
Good place for quick bite. Limited food choice though.
Easy in easy out
Cleaner was taking pictures of something in the bathrooms with people in there using them. Also nobody in Aplus speaks English, it's spur-of-the-moment sign language only
I'm on the Turnpike all the time, so i often stop here. Men's room janitor is always very aggressive and hovering. Once he had closed all but one stall so he could clean everything at once, at 5pm on a weekday. Pretty terrible idea for a busy service station....
