“If you are looking for a restaurant with three Michelin stars and upscale wine list and dining experience this is not your place. However, if you forego the pretense and unnecessary snooty ambiance found in high-end restaurants and are looking for authentic home cooked Mediterranean Kafta and Schwarma with simple yet delicious savory salads then come here!“

“Where is the 6-star button!? This is one of the best falafels that I've ever had. Sam makes the sandwiches to perfection - the falafels balls are made to order, the pita is filled with silky tahini, and the vegetables are perfectly crunchy. At $8 for a sandwich and $1 for a drink, it beats anything. If you want falafel, that's the one.“

“I went here for lunch yesterday and had the Hanger Steak on Whole Wheat Pita (it was on the specials menu) and it truly made my day. So flavorful with sautéed onions and a delicious side salad. I HAD to write a review to help spread the news, the food was fresh and unbelievably good and the service was top notch. <3“

“If you’re a tourist hunting for a quick, affordable halal meal, look no further—this place has you covered. The $12 gyro platter is hands down one of the best deals you’ll find. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, the rice is perfectly cooked, and the salads and sauces just tie it all together in the best way possible. It’s filling, tasty, and easy on the wallet.
Locals, you’re seriously lucky to have this spot in your neighborhood. Everything on the platter is fresh and full of flavor, and you can tell they put care into making sure each part of the meal hits just right. Whether you're a visitor or a regular, this is the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to.“

Like seriously the best food and amazing uncles serving it: it was cold and I had to stand on line to get food but one of the uncles called me and gave me falafel until I wait, I teared up - hospitality of real Kings! All of their food is amazing and fresh, my favorite is platters with meats and rice❤️ pickles on the side yum!“

“I visited New York for 6 days from the state of Texas and ended up having two meals at this location because the food was just that good. In a city where you have to be the best to survive, we chose to eat here for two meals! The flavors and consistency of quality and service were great. Can't say enough good things about this place! Keep up the good work gentlemen!“

“My husband gets their food all the time for lunch and yesterday I met up with him while he was on break. I got the falafel plate and my god! The falafels were so fresh and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the veggies were fresh and really brought life to the dish. The owner and his son were so nice. I cannot recommend enough!“

“Mamoun's Falafel is a classic, old-school establishment that consistently draws a crowd—and for good reason. The food is always fresh and delicious, making it a favorite spot for many. There’s never any issue with the quality or taste of the food; it’s simply excellent.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, they only accept cash, so be prepared. If you’re short on cash, you'll need to use the ATM right outside the store, which charges a $3 fee. The staff, while efficient, can sometimes come across as brusque, especially when you request extras like sauce on the side or if you’re a dollar short. Also, seating is very limited, so it's best to plan on taking your food to go. The prices are slightly on the higher side, but given the quality of the food, it's worth it.“

“You need to know what to get! I personally am not a fan of the fries (they’re more like home fries and the seasoning makes them too dry for my taste) but LOVE the eggplant falafel sandwich and the beet salad!
Vegetarian options: Falafel sandwiches, salads and sides!
Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and Halal“

“This place was fantastic! Over the years I've been here maybe 10 times. I never complain when my friends or family suggest this place to eat for dinner. The waitresses are always a pleasure to deal with. They assist me well when I ask for all my extras and meal modifications. The chef ?? in the back is on point. I wish GYRO TOWN long-term success in these challenging economic times
Parking: Paid street parking can be a bit full sometimes, causing me to circle once or twice. I typically never have to walk more than a half a block.“

“Love the falafels from this place. They have so many toppings to choose. You can get a platter or gyro with either lamb, chicken beef or falafel. I only get the falafels but they are banging. Then you can pick lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers, olives, pickles, and/or chickpeas. It's delicious 😋 I only took off one start for atmosphere because their tv is so loud lol always a turn off for me. Cheers“

“Best food and best people. The cook and the older gentleman taking our order love their jobs and really took care of us. Both the chicken and beef shawarma were cooked to perfection, with the right amount of juiciness and charred flavor. Even the bread was great. The man taking our order was very welcoming and hospitable. Perfect neighborhood halal spot.“

“Everything was really, really, really good, and fresh, especially the salad, meats cooked to order, the falafel. We also loved the hummus, babaganoush, and fluffy pita. Service was super friendly and accommodating to a ton of small special requests. Not sure why they gave us some flat store bought pita with our order and some delicious, fluffy, and fresh made (maybe they were running out?), but overall a really delightful surprise.“

“all i can say is i went here yesterday and got a falafel wrap and have not stopped talking about it - i've said "moist" more than i'd ever care to admit. it's incredible. i went back again today and they served straight fire yet again. looks like a humble take out spot but let me tell you ... the aura in this place is off the charts. for the price, too? wild. i just moved to the area and will be here once a week.“

“Jerusalem Pizza Falafel is definitely one of the best establishments in the Passaic Park area. I absolutely love the falafel, which is always of a generous size and very much well worth the extra expense. Their soups are always tasty, my favorite being the lentil, and the knishes (my loves being the kasha and the spinach) are delicious. It's always a great take home for me, and I can't give enough superlatives to the staff, all of whom make you feel welcome (once you get to the counter).
Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegetarian and vegetable dishes that are available for consumption if one is not eating meat.
Kid-friendliness: There's always a group of kids in the restaurant, all having a good time enjoying the food and themselves.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair accessible entrance that comes in quite conveniently for those who are mobility impaired, and the aisles are wide enough to service those in wheelchairs and walkers.
Dietary restrictions: There are numerous restrictions and specifications in a traditional Jewish diet, and rules that must be adhered to. Jerusalem Pizza on its menu board lists everything available according to the rules it follows in a simple understandable way.“
“Whenever I am in the area, I have to get my fix!! The Lamb Gyro Platter and Chicken Gyro Platter are so good. You are going to want to order both. I wish I had taken a picture. The last time I was here was in Nov 2021, my flight got in after midnight, so I didn't get to my hotel until close to 2AM. This was one of the few places open, and the food was so good. The Hummus & Pita is delicious as well! You just can not go wrong with this place!“

“Food is excellent! Service was friendly and pretty prompt/quick. It's not quite a sit-down restaurant as the space is pretty small, but there is some space to sit and eat. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a quick and delicious bite.“

“Easily one of the best food deals in NYC. 11 dollars for a large bowl with unlimited toppings and four huge falafel that were some of the best falafel i’ve had in the area. Couscous was a little dry but still flavorful and the sauces were fantastic and arguably the best part. Perfect hummus as well.“

“The falafel here is superb! It’s light and crispy with a full flavor. I usually order the falafel platter that comes with red quinoa, hummus, pickles, Israeli salad and cabbage. It also comes with pita but I’m GF so I opt out. They also have Dr. Brown’s sodas which is the icing on the cake! The owner and staff and friendly and want to make sure you have the best falafel in town! Highly recommend!
Vegetarian options: They offer falafel, sabich and cauliflower“

“Needed somewhere halal to eat when I was visiting the 9/11 Memorial. It was about a 5 min walk. Bit of a queue to order, however that’s generally an indicator the food is good and it was worth the wait. The brother serving the food made it extra spicy for me. I ordered the Chicken Kati roll. You get 2 for about $7-$8. Lovely food.“
“Do not refer to the five stars. They do not reflect my opinion. I just wanted to say that perhaps a short explanation should be added somewhere that the hummus is intended for the palate of Columbia University students so that Israeli clients do not develop expectations.“

“Vegetarian options: Falafel. it’s made with chickpeas, vegetables and wrapped pita bread. They sell salads, chicken wraps, etc. Good food. Authentic. Young beautiful people in cafe. They sell non alcoholic beverages. Clean place. Ion and out. Decorations are comfortable. It’s a sense of welcome and respect in there. Stop and eat well. ❤️
Parking: You must look for empty spaces. It’s a neighborhood.
Kid-friendliness: Yes. They are in a neighborhood. There’s lots of children and they welcome them.
Wheelchair accessibility: Okay“
“These street carts were peppered all over NYC. Am unsure why certain carts have longer queues than the rest even though they were all from the same franchise. Nothing much to comment on the taste. I didn't like the mess on the plate which was heavily slathered in white sauce. Reasonably priced. Portions are huge.“
