To response the owner: We’ve visited over 30-50 restaurants in the area, and your establishment is the only one that does not offer tap water or allow customers to bring their own water (notice this is water, not wine). For example, even places like Five Guys, where you can purchase a $10 burger, will offer a complimentary cup of water if customer asks. Some restaurants also permit guests to bring their own bottle of wine, in case you weren’t aware
Additionally, we noticed that a small plate of pasta here is priced at $25-30 before tax. We recommend you, as a chef, visiting some nearby pasta shops to get a better sense of portion size in relation to price

After our experience, I took the time to go through all of the 5-star reviews (about 200 of them), and I noticed that nearly all of them include photos. This seems like an unusual pattern.
We recommend you focusing on delivering great food and service to win the business, not something else. As customers who spent $60-70 on two pasta dishes, we are disappointed, not only on the food / service itself, but also your attitude when you saw our review. The tone reflected in your review responses is telling and sheds light on what we experienced during our visit.
One last thing, you mentioned that we did not leave a tip, but you did not mention that your place is not a full service restaurant. We ordered standing by the counter, and it's not traditionally expected to tip in this service setting. You also mentioned we order two dishes for three but you seemed to forget to mention that we were two adults with one small child. Once again, we spent $65 in total on two dishes on lunch, so I don't think you paint the right picture here. You tried to counter a negative review with tactics discrediting the reviewer. But as more real customer reviews come in, you will realize we were offering honest opinions. Your location and your service setting don't warrant the value & pricing you offered. You need to improve to have a sustainable business. We are more than happy to see a successful pasta shop thrive in the neighborhood.

The food was amazing! We started with the tiramisu. So light and fluffy! For entrees we ordered the bolognese, scampi, and chicken Parmesan pastas. The fresh flavors are unmatched. Don’t skip on the bread basket with oil. Sublime

When they say best Italian food in Union they are not lying!! Even the bread basket was delicious. If you bring your own wine or champagne the owner will put it on ice and bring glasses, would absolutely recommend.

This is truly a hidden gem. Marino, the owner, is so warm and welcoming. The food was incredible & the All’Assassina dish was unlike anything I’ve ever had before- absolutely phenomenal. Their vodka sauce is a solid 10/10 as well. You can taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients in every bite. I’ll happily make the drive from Brooklyn anytime to come back here.

All Assassina was an amazing experience. The food was very authentic and full of rich flavors. The music and decor matched the atmosphere perfectly, making it feel genuine. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Right before closing, the chef even offered us a taste of one of his new dishes, which was such a kind gesture. We drove all the way from Staten Island, and it was well worth it — we’ll definitely be coming back again and again.

I think this is one of the best pasta places I’ve been to in a long time. I originally found this place on TikTok and I haven’t always had the greatest experiences with TikTok reviews but when I looked them up on google it had 4.9 stars so we decided to give it a try. The place is very cute to sit down and have lunch the staff was very friendly. My daughter order the spaghetti and meatballs, I had the penne vodka with meatballs and my friend had the bolognese. I absolutely loved my food and so did my daughter and friend. We even went back the next day for more. 10/10 would recommend
