We got a suggestion from one of our friends to go to DaBenito for dinner. We were thrilled with the restaurant. The food was simply outstanding, the service was very attentive, and the atmosphere is beautiful.
Have not been to the restaurant in many years. Friends told me that have been back there and to give it a try. Everything was excellent. will definitely be back!
We had tomato herb soup, crab cakes, caesar salad, pounded veal parm, pappardelle bolognese, carrot cake & coffee ice cream for dessert and it was all excellent!!!!! The staff service was without flaw!!!!!! Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience! Sincerely, Craig & Karen
Always a pleasure to dine here, never disappoints. Food from appetizers to dessert can't be any better
There is nothing not to like at this restaurant. The food, service and ambienace combine for a memorable experience. The staff are extremely well trained and make you feel at home. And the dinnerspecial always offer new and innovative choices.
This elegant restaurant proved a nice place for a first date. Our shared appetizer -- a grilled artichoke with a goat cheese tart -- was very tasty. My date enjoyed her salmon special, which was very fresh. I asked that my pasta dish be made without speck, but it came to the table with plenty of speck. I had to wait quite a while to get the server's attention and have the dish remade. When I finally got it, it was basically fine but a bit heavy on the garlic. The bottle of wine we ordered, a Jordan Chardonnay, was reasonably priced. We sat next to a window, where an AC vent chilled us. I asked that the AC be turned off or down, and it was for a time, but then came back on strongly enough that my date had to wrap her coat around herself. Despite that, we enjoyed a long conversation with few interruptions from the staff. So, on the whole, a very positive experience, though there are some ways the restaurant could improve, particularly with its AC system.
Simply the best restaurant in New Jersey and if da Benito were in New York it would be the best in New York as well!!
Interesting takes on several "typical" dishes, exquisite appy and salad choices, fabulous meat dishes, wonderful pasta dishes and overall an absolute spectacular culinary delight!
the wait staff needs training on how to be attentive without being intrusive. when they come to the table and guests are immersed in conversation, they should realize they are the least important at that moment.
One of the best around. Ask for gondolas, which aren't on the menu but are a delicacy of tortellini type pasta stuffed with a magnificent spinach. Cheese mixture topped with a bit of tomato sauce. It's out of this world.

We have eaten at da Benito for over 35 years. The food, service, ambiance, and dining experience has and continues to be superior. da Benito is a dining treasure.
Everything was awesome. Food was great. My only issue. When we were done it took about 20 minutes for them to bring our bill. Our waiter never even made eye contact. We'll 100% be back!!!
This was our second time meeting a friend here & the pasta, seafood & warm chocolate cake were excellent! The place was very busy even on a weeknight as it seems to be a local favorite. We'd go again without hesitation.
My blackened swordfish was excellent. My guest had the chicken dish and it was more than she could eat.
Overall a WONDERFUL experience...They never disappoint. Whether it's with their friendly, attentive service or specials which are culinary delights, they hit the mark! The staff is almost psychic in their attention. The chef makes this a local gem. Over time, I've become a 'regular'. I HIGHLY recommend. Frankly, the best in Union county..
