Tasty food, congenial and helpful service. Reasonable prices. Very popular, so may have a wait depending on time of day.

I've been to this location at least five times. Every time I have been here my order is wrong. I understand and know the restaurant business but this is freaking ridiculous.

The worst place any Hispanic could ever go to. I visited this place for the first time and the service was very poor. After asking and ordering at the cashier, they sat me to the side to wait while 12 people who arrived after me were escorted directly to a table, their orders were taken and they were given coffee. I asked why they didn't move me to one of the tables and they told me to wait another time. I got upset and cancelled the order, and it took them 5 more minutes to cancel my order because it was more important to serve several more people. I do not recommend it. Bad customer service, bad service...

The food was great! I had the chicken salad and it was super fresh and priced well. Our server was also adorable and dependable. I was having lunch with a friend of mine of 40 years. We are big on noise level… it was a prefect place for a conversation.

I haven't been to a First Watch in years. The last time I went to it was in Tampa, FL. I don't remember it being THIS BAD! I came in yesterday and the food was subpar. So I gave them another chance and came today and it was downright disgusting! I didn't make a big stink because yesterday I did after find a fruit fly in my fruit. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was dry as a desert. The scrambled eggs were hard and slightly rubbery. And the grits were runny. I guess that's what I get for giving them another chance.

Gluten free gf options on the menu. Great egg and breakfast options. Tasty salsa and spicy accoutrements. Lunch was quick, place is clean, servers are nice.

The service for us that day was very bad, apparently in the area where we were located they did not have assigned personnel

First Watch is an excellent place for breakfast and brunch, offering an elevated dining experience. My first visit was to the Morris Plains, NJ location, where the food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. However, my experience at the First Watch in Union, NJ, was quite the opposite. The service was terrible—staff seemed more interested in socializing in the kitchen than attending to customers. While both locations have excellent décor and food, the service at the Union location falls far short of what I experienced in Morris Plains.

At the Union location, the staff, who were predominantly Black, appeared to be more focused on hanging out than working. As an African American myself, it was disappointing to witness. I strongly suggest avoiding the Union location unless there’s a change in management. It seems other reviews reflect similar sentiments, though No One have openly addressed the racial dynamics at play. This needed to be said directly: First Watch should hire people who are committed to providing great service and supporting the business, regardless of location.
