I've been going to Peterson's, now Galloping Hill Inn for many years. I've always liked the food. I went there today and was very disappointed. I ordered a double with mustard and barbecued onions. I should have known there would be a problem when my order was ready, bagged and all, when I paid. The dogs weren't fried. As a matter of fact, they were barely warm and the double was on a regular hot dog bun, not the usual roll that they had previously served. I couldn't pick it up because it was so wet and sloppy. I had seen several bad reviews recently about this place but I always try to give a location the benefit of a doubt, especially because I have had so many good experiences. I'll chalk this up to a bad day and give them one more visit. If things stay the same, they'll be losing another customer because of a substandard product.

Went on Sunday. Always get double hot dog with the works. After waiting more than 5 minutes for someone to make the hot dog (no one at the hot dog grill , let’s not forget i was the only person there) I was given 2 hot dogs on a bun that was a cheep roll that wouldn’t even fit 1 hot dog. Not the reg roll they have. VERY DISAPPOINTING. WONT BE GOING BACK ANYTIME SOON

My husband and I have been enjoying this place for over 14 years. We found out they randomly changed their hotdog buns to plain store bought ones and it ruined their signature product known and loved by many. Unfortunately, it completely changed the taste and everything. So sad we can no longer enjoy this awesome place.

The food was phenomenal.I had the California deluxe cheese burger with crinkle cut fries and the lady I talked to for a bit was really nice. I'm still shocked this place has been open a 100 years so much history.

My expectations were already very low since it’s a very casual place. We moved to Union 2 years ago and wanted to try out some local food. The burger is worst than the ones they serve for school lunch. It is absolutely not edible. The Philly cheesesteak is a bit more edible but has no flavor at all. There’s no salt or pepper on anything. I could’ve made better food at home.

Sadly the quality of Galloping Hill Inn has gone way down hill over the years, not exactly pun intended. The last time I was there was towards the end of the summer of 2023. At the time I was applying to jobs, and the new owner Rita was highly unpleasant towards me numerous times. Not only due to the job application, but even when ordering food. I couldn’t talk to employees of hers that I knew for years, Pete and Tony, she literally yelled at me for leaning on the counter while I was waiting on about a $40-$50 order, she told me I was in the way of paying customers, of which I was one, and they were nearly empty at the time. Etc. Sadly the hot dogs, cheese burgers, fries, and mozzarella sticks were some of the best in Union, not anymore though. I am very, very highly unlikely to ever return, and many in my family have patronized them over the years, sad but true.

Heard great things about this place. Decided to get dinner with a friend. Have to say the hot dogs were the worst hotdogs I have ever had. The onion rings were top notch tho but stay away from the hots.

This place used to really good. I hadn’t been there in years and decided to stopped by for lunch last week and let me say it was a waste of $50
The food was not good at all, in fact my son order bbq boneless wings and he couldn’t even eat them. The wings were old and hard!
So disappointed
