I visited Huck Finn Diner on yesterday (Thursday) afternoon at around 5:30pm. The diner was not very busy and the parking was easy. I was greeted immediately upon entering the diner and was promptly brought to my booth where I was left with their menu for a few minutes before a waiter came up to me to take my order. One of the waiters was even kind enough to close the blinds for me unasked, as the sun shining through from the sunset was very blaring, which was nice of them. The diner was clean and welcoming with nice relaxing music playing on the speakers. It was overall a very "chill" vibe. I ordered a chicken parmigiana sandwich which came out promptly and was hot on the inside, the cheese was melted well so it was a good sandwich, the bread just tasted a little stale. The side of mashed potatoes had good taste to them but definitely could have been a bit warmer.

Best cheesecake we ever had! I had the strawberry and my husband had the BAKLAVA cheesecake! Superb! We ordered an Asian rice bowl for an app (which easily could’ve been a meal (they give sooo much food) UGH it was so good! Penne vodka pasta bowl was toppling over the bowl and it’s also another delicious dish (honestly better than a high end restaurant) My husband had the shrimp scampi 🤤I’m telling you nothing disappointed (well the food at least) The server was an absolute mess. The woman (older) might have had a cold and coughed everywhere, was not friendly and seemed as if she didn’t want to be there at all. We will definitely be back, hopefully we can find someone who smiles and enjoys our company.

I visited 7:30am after dropping my daughter off at a nearby surgical center. I was their first customer and the owner and server were very friendly. I had a very tasty breakfast sandwich and coffee which were reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this fine establishment.

food is either too salty, or no salt at all. The soup was oversalted, the steak wasn’t seasoned well and had no salt, took a very long time to get the food, bacon was soggy. The service was mediocre. The soda tasted like dish soap.
So no, not recommended. At least I’m not coming back. Food was awful!

Their Pancake is really good and the egg white. Their service is awesome.
The atmosphere was great. The service was good. The waffle was great. Crispy on the outside and almost mushy on the inside. I didn't enjoy the turkey sausage but possibly because I never had it before. The potatoes were good with peppers and onions. The condiments were full and new. Pricing was fair.

I ordered a simple cheeseburger deluxe and it was awful the burger will post to come out medium but came out well done and dry I like to have my cheese melted onto the burger they put it in the toaster had it melted onto the bun the condiments for my burger was missing I had to let the way to know about my condiments the best thing on the plate was the French fries am I hot the waiter was not that great not warrant a tip but I know that's how you make his money so I left them $3 I don't think I will return it's not the same not to mention when I walked in the house supposed to seat you was too busy having a conversation with two people who just walked in and I'm standing at the door I to I attention so I had to ask him do I go see myself then he grabbed the menu and escorted me to a table call customer service at the time when restaurants are not staying open due to business and this is how the host and service in Cooks treat the customers..

Typical throwback Jersey Diner with a nice size breakfast menu with great selections. Excellent priced breakfast special that includes coffee and your choice of juice for under $10. Food was descent but not great. Counter service on this Wednesday morning at 9:00 was attentive but extremely slow. Diner was clean and parking was plentiful.
