I chose to eat from this place 2 days in a row. Day 1 was not bad but was not the worst as they gave me ham hock in my stew instead of the goat I ordered. Today I said let me explain to them and then order again. Today I was given ham hock in my stew, even when I bite into it the meat was not cooked done, the inside of the meat was black as if the meat was very old when it was cooked. I will not go back again. It seems they only have ham hock and think it’s goat. I really wanted to be wrong today but it’s obvious that I wasn’t! I would never return to this restaurant ever again! My food was sway stew with fufu

Great food and great customer service. I have been going to Surulere Suya Spot since I moved to New Jersey and this is over a decade now. I enjoy especially their beef suya and chicken suya and they also have great meals- Jellof rice and the egusi soups are my favorite. I definitely recommend Surulere Suya spot for anyone who wants good meals. They also have the super store where I buy my original Nigeria food items.

I love their Suya and Jollof rice. But today left a bad taste in my mouth and it had nothing to do with food. I paid for my order and even left a tip via Apple Pay, received my food yet not a single thank you from the lady behind the counter. That’s terrible customer service! “Thank Yous” should be automatic, tip or not. I’ll still order from here as it’s convenient but please don’t give me a look when a tip is not given next time.

Had to wait for an hour, after being told it would take 20mins max. The food was not even worth it, and the service was horrible,(didn’t give a reason for the 40 mins delay or apologize) scotch egg was terrible. Definitely a no!!

Ordered the Suya Beef with Joloff rice, rice tasted like smoke, or as if it was burnt. My beef was wrapped in paper, then in aluminum foil, as if they ran out of containers. Beef was also extremely over cooked and old, as if it was prepared that morning and merely warmed up over the course of the day. Food was absolutely terrible, poorly prepared, and there was a general lack of respect towards customers to serve this to paying customers. Love to support black owned business, but this is not one of them, I will not be back and can't in good conscience recommend it to anyone else. Waste of $60.

They serve in little portion. I ordered two servings of yams and I got seven tiny pieces for each serving. I had to take pictures because this is insane.

Just left there not too long , ordered puff puff that was not well cooked inside.and the egg roll was something else , the puff is way too big . The shrimp Suya confused me it was a mess . Never going back again.

I pre-ordered before going but still had to wait for more than an hr. with people that came after me getting service before me.
I have also had to tell the people on the phone more than once to go easy on the salt for me.The shawama l got still had too much salt.
The service can be improved on.

Horrible waited an hour just for the Suya & Jollof to be cold & old. When I requested a refund the manager named Blessing said I can’t get a refund because nobody else complained about the food tasting old
Call ahead for your order, and tack some extra time onto that. I've visited this location a few times, and have ended up sitting up to 45 minutes waiting for a takeout order. The egusi and eforiro are pretty good, but they're a bit heavy on the crawfish powder so it tastes a little more fishy than I'm used to.
