East Gate Chinese and Japanese Restaurant

I just want to make people aware that I usually order lunch special from here on the weekends. I usually order spicy salmon or spicy tuna. However, on 2/22 I ended up vomiting. Didn’t really put 2 and 2 together and that was the end of it. My husband usually orders something else and he didn’t have any reaction. On Saturday, 3/8 I ordered the same thing and in the early morning of Sunday I was throwing up. It kept going throughout all Sunday. I couldn’t keep any food in and even threw up the water I was drinking. I ended up going to urgent care and I had food poisoning. My husband ended up getting it as well as he tried my spicy tuna/salmon sushi. It was awful!! We called the restaurant and they said they would talk to the chef. Please be careful!

The rating is for greed displayed by this restaurant to charge additional money for unfinished food. While, I understand we made an error in ordering too much food from the all you can eat menu ,the restaurant could've used a measure of forgiveness for recurring customers.

The behavior of the female waiter is very insusting, I will never buy takeaway from here again, you have to correct yourself a little

Pass by this place all the time on the way to school so I figured I finally give it a try. Was pleasantly surprised they had an all-you-can-eat menu at a good price, especially if you're looking to eat more than 25$ worth of sashimi... some of the tempura vegetables were kinda bland and the Rangoons were kinda cold. Definitely enjoyed the sashimi, and the tea was really good. The service was really prompt and attentive. Would go again.

Highly recommend all you can eat menu! This way you get to try varieties of options. But make sure you get only what you can eat since they mention a charge per piece for what you don’t finish! Also…. It’s BYOB which is a huge plus

The flavor of the food was okay but there’s no excuse for a HAIR in my soup!!! No apologies or nothing just the menu back so we could order more food??? Wouldn’t recommend!

East Gate is a great place for all-you-can-eat sushi, and it's BYOB, but unfortunately, the service was inadequate. This is the first place that, as soon as I walk in, I am rushed to leave. One of the female waitresses always complains about leaving a tip, even though she was rude from the start, asking if we were done eating when I just got my order. I advise East Gate to evaluate how their servers are trained so that this never happens again. Thank you.

Came here with some friends the other nightFood: Very good priced AYCE sushi restaurant. The sushi quality is decent for a AYCE, and a great variety of food. I enjoyed the BBQ squid, most of the salmon and red snapper rolls and speciality rolls, and they had pretty solid miso.Service: pretty regular service with paper based service that you fill out and they bring to you.Aesthetic: standard sit down Chinese restaurant affair.

Last night my friends and I went to this restaurant and at the end of it they were rushing us to leave because of closing which is understandable when we tried to pay they were hassling me for a tip. They are rushing us and getting aggressive I honestly think they were cursing us out in their language. They saw 4 young college students and tried to get more money from us when the service wasn’t even good. My friends and I were scared for our lives we thought they weren’t going to let us go because when we gave them the money they said “no tip for me, no tip for me” like it makes me think is the owner paying them??? PEOPLE BOYCOTT THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE THE OWNER CLEARLY ISNT PAYING THEM ENOUGH TO SUSTAIN THEIR LIFESTYLE SO THEY HAVE TO HARRAS CUSTOMERS.

Parking in front and back of the stipmall. Barrier free. Convenient eat in space. Not over crowded. Nice selection on the menu of Chinese and Japanese food. Seven day a week lunchtime specials. Reasonably priced, substantial servings. Wait Staff attentive and courteous. No alcohol. Senior Citizen Approved.
