Famous Ray's Pizza of New York

I would recommend this place if you are in the area for a pie. They've been around for a while and are always busy.

Coming from California and had high hopes for this place with all the great reviews. Got a Sicilian slice, pepperoni, chicken bacon ranch, and veggie. The Sicilian was extremely disappointing. The amount of sauce on it was criminally low and cheese tasted pretty funky. Overall it was just plain bland. Chicken bacon ranch was highly recommended but I found it just ok. The ranch sauce had a weird sweetness to it that was off putting. Pepperoni was decent as was veggie. Overall wouldn’t come back.

PROS:
- Our favorite pizza around. Been going here since I was a kid and now bring my own kids.
- Slices are very generous and bigger than comparative parlors.
- Guys are always nice ordering from.

CONS:
- A pie is a bit more expensive than other places, but, again, it's because their slices are bigger!

This spot is easily not only the best pizza in Jersey, but easily one of the best pizza's in the States!
I love swinging by just to get my hands on a Chicken bacon ranch slice. 🍕
Its amazing quality craft perfection. Unexplainable delicious. You just can't take my word for it, you have to try it for yourself. You won't regret it!

Great attitude from the guys, pizza is good, my toddler loves coming here! The guys always smile at my toddler and overall it’s a positive vibe! There is outdoor and indoor seating with TV’s too. And plenty of parking.

Pizza took me back in time to my NYC life before moving to NJ.

Great service great pizza. We saw a focaccia and the guys said he could make it into a whole Sicilian pie for us even though he never has before. That’s awesome and the pizza was phenomenal. Great flavor in the dough

They changed the pizza recipe. Just taste like any other pizza. The sauce and cheese are different. Not worth the trip or extra price. Might as well go to a regular pizzeria. Pizza is not bad, just a regular pizza. Not like the WOW pizza that I remembered years ago. I guess nothing lasts forever.

Great pizza. Plain and Margherita are top notch. Their gourmet pizzas are astounding! I've had barbecue chicken and Hawaiian slices. They don't skimp on the toppings like many other places. Whenever I want a NY style pizza this is my go-to spot!

Vegetarian options: Dude, it's PIZZA. You should already know.

Parking: Two lots, one on either side.
