The ambiance is 10/10. The restaurant is soooo relaxing. I went solo. But its a great date night place. Service was wonderful and the food came out fast. They don't serve alcoholic beverages but you can BYOB which is even better. Food is fresh and delicious. I had the spicy Tuna roll and hibachi chicken entree. Delicious.

Nice restaurant with good food. Just a suggestion. Do not order online. Call in and ask how long. Been burned a few times with the online ordering. Always says it will be ready in 30 minutes. Tonight my wife had to wait an extra 30 minutes at the restaurant to pick up our order. She is patient. I would have asked for a refund and left. I do understand busy times, etc. Just turn off online ordering when you can't handle it or extend the pickup time! Not fare to the customer.

We had our Grandson with us and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! The food was wonderful and the waitress even washed off the baby’s silverware and bib. Very enjoyable evening, would definitely recommend to all.
I will never recommend this place to anyone. I found rubber band inside my noodles. I wish I had read the reviews before coming to this place. I then found out that many of the other people had similar experiences where they found staple or some kind of object inside the food.I don't know why the place has so high reviews but would never recommend this place

Akira is a nice sushi and hibachi restaurant in the Rt 561 Voorhees Acme strip mall. Restaurant is in 3 sections, hibachi to the left, Sushi bar, tables and big screen TV showing hockey game and a 3rd section to the right. Thursday evening around 730 place was about half full. Ordered the 20 piece Sashimi regular ($25), came with very tasty miso soup and small salad. Sashimi plate was arranged with two servings of fish shaped into a flower bud and looked very appetizing. My server also asked and brought a bowl of rice to accompany my delicious meal. Restaurant has very dim lighting and appeared very clean. Service was attentive and quick. Only negative is I only had a few sips of soup and a mouthful of salad when my sashimi was delivered, seemed a little rushed. Overall a very good meal.Parking: Lots of available parking.
