About Cap' N Cats

Cap' N Cats is a long-standing seafood restaurant known for its flavorful and fresh dishes. Located in Eagles Plaza, it has a simple, unassuming exterior with a fish market in front. The restaurant offers a variety of seafood options, including snow crab legs, lobster bisque, hot smoked white fish, mussels in spicy red sauce, and crab cakes filled with jumbo lump crab. Many reviews highlight the quality and consistency of the food, such as the delish blackened salmon served with baked potato and coleslaw, and the hot smoked white fish that is warm, smoky, and flaky with a wonderful taste. The New England Clam Chowder is praised as the most flavorful and densest ever, making it a favorite for visitors who return even after years away.

The menu features classic dishes like clams casino, mini crab balls, and oysters, all prepared with attention to flavor. Side dishes like onion rings and French fries are also enjoyed, with some noting the batter-style onion rings as a preferred choice. Portions are generous, and the food is consistently fresh and well-cooked; however, the prices are high, with a note that a meal can cost around $200 for multiple plates and drinks. The interior is clean and attractive, with a beautiful setting, and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

Cap' N Cats operates as a dry restaurant, so wine or beer must be brought in by guests. Overall, it is a beloved spot for seafood lovers seeking flavorful, hearty meals in a casual, welcoming atmosphere.

Simply the best. The food is always fresh great service. Always our Christmas Eve dinner , love these folks.
I placed an online order for the lunch specials $10 and $11 for seafood salad on a kaiser roll and flounder sandwich which includes a choice of 4 sides plus Cole slaw. I also had the lobster bisque and crab soup $8 for a pint so delicious, thick, creamy and a big heaping of crabmeat on the top. For the price you pay it's worth it.
I have been a patron of this family owned business since my childhood.
To visit this Seafood Restaurant was like going back in a time machine.
They offer fresh seafood choices in the front of the restaurant for takeout as well.
You would be remiss in skipping this gem if you're looking for fresh seafood in a quaint atmosphere, offering fine dining, with a hometown feeling.
