We have been ordering takeout from Ca N Cat for a good 20 years and have always been satisfied with the food and the service. Last week was the exception and my experience in trying to relate this experience to the owner/Manager Tom today was nothing short of a disaster. Our order was not put in properly and actually had fallen through the crack. Instead of being up front about this and apologizing, two young employees kept coming out and saying that it would be a few more minutes. A half hour later our take out order materialized. The young man the blamed it on the cook who he indicated did not understand english. I asked to speak to the Manager and was told he was on vacation. I left my name and number but did not receive a call back. I left another message on Tuesday with no return call, then to day after being told that Tom was too busy cooking until 9:30 tonight. I dropped in to speak with him and he had no desire to listen but to berate me for complaining about a mistake his employees made. He told me how tough his business was and how hard it is to keep employees. Probably all true. My intent was to let him know that their attempts to cover up the mistakes with our order and he could use it as a teaching experience for his young employees. With 20 years of experience in the Retail Industry and 18 more as a consultant to Retailers his assertion that I do not know anything about the business is way off. He spent the short time I was there to loudly berate me and let me know that he did not want our business. We have a large expanded family and that may well prove to cost him more financially than he realizes over an annual basis.

Had a very nice seafood dinner. Ordered the rainbow trout topped with crab, sweet potato fries, fish and chips. Everything was delicious. Service was great. We will definitely be coming back in the future to sample other dishes.

The food here is spectacular. I have gotten both the broiled shrimp and the broiled salmon and I have never been disappointed. They season with old bay and it's just really good fish every time! The meals come with a baked potato which is fire always. The service is really good and the staff is super nice! They've served me even when they were about to close. The ambiance is perfect for a seafood restaurant (dark but not too loud). 10/10 would recommend!

We are in neighborhood so we have been here a number of times. The fish is not washed, so it has a very fishy smell. I had a very simple flounder dish, but it was overly salty, not tasty at all. I do feel bad for the one and only girl working the entire room. The baked potato is always delicious but damn, they give you a dollop of sour cream but no sprinkle of chives on top, nothing extra that would make the meal delicious. This place needs that cooking show chef, gordon ramsey make over!!! No Frills restaurant. Just a little bit more and it could be so much better.

New clam chowder is on point, fried flounder sandwich terrific! Service was disappointing never got checked up on or offered a refill on my soda. 20 minutes for somebody to acknowledge me at first and had to go and asked the team member for my check.

Waited 35 minutes for my food when we were one of the only 3-4 tables in the place, for it to come out warm at most. The server was the only person working & I get that it can be hard working by yourself but full on avoided when we needed help. Literally covered the side of her face as she walked by as I'm trying to pay to leave. The kid that works up front and one of the cooks were actively throwing a football around, then right away touched the food without washing his hands. Service was just overall terrible. Definetly not coming back.

Take-out order ready when promised. The best New England Clam Chowder in our area. A wide variety of broiled seafood meals available. This is a frequent restaurant for us.

I am not from the area, but since I had a doctors appointment near by my fiancee and I decided to try it out for a late lunch. This place is a hidden gem. The crab ball appetizer and the broiled crabcakes were awesome! Prices are great for the value of the food you get. I enjoyed their cole slaw. The waitress had at least 10 tables at once, but we never felt like we were forgotten as she gave us excellent service. We will definitely return soon.

I got some stuff from there last night. I have not been there in about 5 months. Have gone there for years. Got crab cakes, fried oysters and broiled scallops. Everything was very good. I wish the crab cakes were a little bigger but I also understand the cost of things now. Oysters were a good size. But the scallops were less than impressive. Taste was very good but for $2.50 per scallop, I thought they would be bigger than the size of a quarter. But all in all, it was good.
