Cool vibe, and the server was very sweet, but the food was pretty bland

We had a very awesome time with some special friends. All the way up from Texas (originally from NJ) and was delighted to have gone to a "real" Jersey diner. Nancy is a real firecracker and delivered great service and conversation. Still wondering "what she had to drink". Thank you Nancy!

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose The Roadside Diner for Wall Township, our 149th town.
Great food and service. We enjoyed some breakfast staples, including: French Toast, Steak & Eggs, Short Stack of Pancakes, and Bacon.
This place is a classic Jersey diner and one of the few that has the retro "train car" looking style. Located at the crossroads of NJ Routes 33 & 34, the diner was featured on the cover of Bon Jovi's "Crossroads" album (which was their greatest hits). One of our goals was to re-create the album cover and the staff helped us on a rainy Saturday when the place wasn't too busy.

Went for breakfast. The owner was by himself. Staff didn't show up. He's waiting table's bussing and cooking all alone. Did it all with a smile and great attitude. Wasn't crazy busy. About 8 to 10 customers. He was doing a great job. Food was great service great. Give him a lot of credit everybody was happy no complaints from anyone. One of the best little dinners we found in our travels. Would love to give him 10 stars

Old time diner. The Cheeseburger was moist and cooked perfect. Onion rings were crispy and delicious! We will return!
The gentleman who served us was so cute. He was very attentive to our needs.

Gentleman that was working was cook, bus boy, host and waiter. His employees called in. There were 3 tables. A total of 12 people and he attended to all of us in a timely manner. Food came out fast and everything was not only hot but also delicious. Very kind and humble man. I would most definitely highly recommend this eatery.
Kid-friendliness: He was very patient and kind my grandkids.

A basic Jersey "aluminum dinercar" diner with a repeat customer base. About as laid back as a diner can get. No Elvis or Marilyn theme. Has been the set in at least one movie. Be sure to admire the "Dinersaur" sculpture by the late Jim Gary.
