We had a reservation and in a line of people at reception and got seated last. The host/reception/bar area is unwelcoming, dark, and a bit divey, especially if you compare it to the rest of the dining areas, which are nice. The food is overpriced for the quality. We were also looking forward to a draft beer, but there are only bottles and cans. Overall the experience was not worth the drive.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Walpack Inn. Maybe we caught them on an off day.

I've been here many times for destination events. Always good.

A wonderful meal! At our convenience, we were seated before our reservation time. The meal, particularly the communal salad bar, was delicious and of excellent quality. Given the caliber of the cuisine and service, the prices were fair. The portions were substantial without becoming intrusive. The window seat was soothing to have since a natural vista complemented the tastes, and the indoor ambiance was warm and pleasant.

Every time we come here, we are never disappointed. The food is exquisite, the service and atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. The view of the property is beautiful. Whether you’re here with one person or your whole family, there is something on the menu for everyone. And the portions are filling. I’d suggest making reservations, because it does get busy depending on the day. Absolutely worth it.

AMAZING PLACE!!

I wish I could give this 4.5 stars as that would be more accurate. This was a good restaurant with mostly great food. I really enjoyed the brown bread, it wasn't my husband's favorite. The salad bar honestly was a bit underwhelming (and the olives were so salty we couldn't even eat them). But the prime rib and short ribs were truly excellent, as well as the atmosphere. Drinks were good too, and the service was good but our server seemed a bit overwhelmed. Overall a good place though and enjoyable if you want a quality cut of meat.

Meh! Medium rare burger that was actually very well done-as in overcooked. Inedible except for ketchup. 2 old fashions but the second one was really not good. The server was delightful. The place, cosmetically, is awesome. The food is expensive...for what you get. The rest of my party said their meals were okay.

Honestly the last time I was here the food was lacking. I’ve enjoyed it before but not sure if they were just having an off day or this is the new norm.
