AMAZING PLACE!!
I wish I could give this 4.5 stars as that would be more accurate. This was a good restaurant with mostly great food. I really enjoyed the brown bread, it wasn't my husband's favorite. The salad bar honestly was a bit underwhelming (and the olives were so salty we couldn't even eat them). But the prime rib and short ribs were truly excellent, as well as the atmosphere. Drinks were good too, and the service was good but our server seemed a bit overwhelmed. Overall a good place though and enjoyable if you want a quality cut of meat.

Meh! Medium rare burger that was actually very well done-as in overcooked. Inedible except for ketchup. 2 old fashions but the second one was really not good. The server was delightful. The place, cosmetically, is awesome. The food is expensive...for what you get. The rest of my party said their meals were okay.

Honestly the last time I was here the food was lacking. I’ve enjoyed it before but not sure if they were just having an off day or this is the new norm.

Come for the ambiance and a drink, not the food. For a place that is supposedly “known” for their prime rib and charging $48 a plate, the end cut was like shoe leather. Three entrees at the table came out cold, so we sent them back. All they did was stick them under the warmer. Same shoe leather, slightly less cold. Asked for a new piece that was mid cut (thinking that all end cuts were probably shoe leather) and it was nothing to write home about, but fine. Apps were fine, salad bar was fine, dessert was fine. Felt like they were more concerned about quantity and pushing food out to tables, than quality. Disappointed!

The prices in the website are REALLY wrong, but the food is worth the trip. The New York Strip was a bit tough, the Filet Mignon was outstanding, the Prime Rib was very good and we had it for lunch the next day, the oysters were very good, the veggies were excellent, the fresh bread is second to none. Get there early if you want everything on the specials. Left with enough food and enough bread for another two meals.

Came upon the restaurant at the end of a scenic drive my wife and I took. We arrived a little after 2, the sign on the door said it didn't open until 3, but they were seating everybody because they said there was a special event happening. The restaurant was beautiful with all their hanging plants, antler chandeliers and a great view of the countryside! The bread was delicious, my wife got the pulled pork sandwich, and I got the burger. The sandwiches were large, and probably some of the best we have ever gotten. My only complaint was that the restaurant didn't have any beer on tap, but did have a good selection of bottled beer. The Walpack Inn topped off a great day. I am annoyed that I never knew about this restaurant, as we would have been visiting for years. If the reviews are correct, and this place is for sale, I can only hope the new owners can replicate what you have done for so many years.
