Wow. We are on a road trip from Philly back to NY and my wife did a search for historic restaurants along the way. She saw the Walpack Inn and realized we would be in the area for the restaurant's monthly surf-and-turf offering. She was lucky enough to get a reservation for us. I’d seen the posts on FB about this restaurant and decided it was worth the journey of 2 hours to get there from Bucks county New Hope area. The verdict ~ it was definitely worth the trip. The food, service and authentic rustic original atmosphere was definitely worth our time in travel. Food was bland and expensive. Service was good. Atmosphere outdated needs a little TLC. Smells old and musty. Sign out front needs a coat of paint and weeds pulled out. Put some flowers out and around.
