I have been waiting years to dine at the Walpack Inn, & my Fiancé & I had the most amazing experience thanks to Joanne. She delivered the best service & had us smiling the entire night. The food & ambiance was impeccable & we can not wait to return. Thank you for everything & the view was also an experience in itself, we loved seeing the deers.
It's been a bit since we've been to the Inn for dinner, we made the 2 hour trip north for us on friday. The place is as beautiful and rustic as we remember, and were treated to a fairly large group of deer feeding right outside the window of the dining room. The food was OK, I had the prime rib special, which came out well seasoned but lukewarm, my wife had the salmon which came out unseasoned and also barely lukewarm. It took 40 minutes from seating for our waitress...
Growing up in Belleville NJ, I was clearly a long distance from the Wallpack Inn. Hunting and fishing with my best friend Richie, we knew every inch of the Delaware Water Gap like the back of our hands, spending much time there from the early 1970s. Since those early fond memories of just driving past the Wallpack, I have since been there on motorcycle runs sitting by the fireplace with a drink, small parties with family watching the kids, big and small watch the deer, watching...
