Quaint place. Nicely decorated. Food excellent and had more than enough to take home. Service was excellent and didn’t rush you. Chef came by and was very friendly. I had the chefs menu which was a 3 course meal with tomatoe soup ,eggplant parm, and dessert. my guest had the 4 course menu with clams casino, pasta, filet, pecan pie. Excellent all around. I worked there as a busboy with Peter Berta in circa 1967-1968. Happy to see still successful. Still remember sitting down with the help to eat at the end of the night. Mrs Berta was tough, but always made sure you were fed at the end of the the shift ! It was a first class place. All male staff back in the day.

My family had been going there for decades! It has been a very long time since we have gone. We took my mom here tonight for her 90th birthday, and it did not disappoint! The food is delicious, and the service is stellar. This is truly the best hidden gem in NJ.
