I grew up in Bergen county and since I moved to Sussex county I've yet to find food as good. I still can't find good pizza anywhere in this county. That being said this place makes amazing sandwiches. I got a spicy Sicilian sub and it was perfect. It was loaded thick with meats and the perfect amount of cheese. It had the right amount of lettuce, onions, tomatoes, oil and vinegar. The bread was superb, super soft inside with just the right amount of strength in the crust. Will definitely come in again

This place is one of my go to delis for a great sandwich. I'm pretty particular with how a sandwich is made. I grew up working in a deli and my boss was very particular on how to make the best sandwhich. It sounds silly but you can totally make it wrong and I've experienced that in other places, but not here! You know how to make em! Bread is perfect, fresh ingredients and friendly service!

I've was very curious to try this place, and had high hopes. After all there aren't very many quality italian deli's left anywhere anymore let alone in this area. I ordered a fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, with lettuce and balsamic very basic. The bread wasn't great, I know it's hard to get decent bread up here but it is possible and that makes a big difference. There wasn't much cheese, and the balsamic tasted like store bought wishbone or whatever. Again very simple to make fresh. The peppers were good. As I said I had high hopes but was disappointed. I am a transplant up here from Essex County so I guess I am a lil spoiled for this type of thing. But I could have made the same thing at home for the same price but wanted to support a local business especially an Italian one. The place did appear neat and clean so that is a plus.

Incredible establishment - among the best sandwiches in the area. We were in town for a wedding at the nearby Mountain Creek Lodge, and needed to feed 10-15 hungry groomsmen on wedding day. We called around to a few different restaurants in the area, asked for local suggestions, and all signs led us to Scarsella’s.Dave and his team (of childhood friends) that run this unassuming Deli are great people. They were kind, honest, and most of all cooked up a great 20 hoagies for us. We got everything from their Chicken Salad to Cheesesteaks, and Turkey to Ham.Most importantly, when you walk into Scarsella’s, even as an out-of-towner, you are greeted by nice and warm people who want you to feel comfortable and well fed! 10/10 will go back next time I’m in North Jersey to hear some more about Dave and his friends’ life story.

Amazing fresh sandwiches and salads made the correct Italian way!! Food was delicious and the service was very friendly. I will definitely be eating from there again and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food.

Ordered a roast beef sub which was okay. Not much meat and a few slices of swiss. Cannot compare to an authentic Italian deli where I grew up in Belleville NJ. I wish you luck!!

Awesome people and awesome food. Drove by it a hundred times and finally gave it a shot. Who knew a great sandwich shop would be next to a Delta gas station? They also have some inside seating as well. Can’t wait to try all their options!

The food is good and the place looks nice on the inside. The shop is in a corner gas station convenience store and looks really bad from the outside but the food is good. Classic Italian deli.
