I've been a long time Playa bowl customer, since when they started. They had started with a promise of fresh fruits and healthier meal options. But, lately, they have switched to more and more frozen fruits which are often stale and gets overlooked in the preparation. Their Acai and Pitaya base were made from the puree of the real fruits. On my latest trip, Pitaya was more or less like a sorbet and with excessive food coloring. Their prices have gone up substantially, quantity has reduced, but the quality has now taken completely back seat. It's all about making profits than offering quality food. This is very disappointing. I do hope that owners at this location or the Playa Bowl management pays attention to the quality of their food so it can again be deemed healthy. (EDIT: Just went to Playa Bowls in Edison and you can see the difference in the quality and quantity of their food and their service.)

I’ve been a long time fan of Playa Bowls but recently visited this location for a catering order and was very impressed. Nicole, one of the managers, was extremely helpful in assisting me with the best option for my event and the entire staff was very accommodating…they even walked the order to my car and gave my son some stickers! I love how you can customize the fruit tray and we also ended up getting a couple 1/2-gallon bases with our own toppings. Everyone loved it!!!
