My corporate office is close by so I have been here several times over the past few years. As of this week they rolled out a new menu and I was definitely impressed. The selections are more varied and the quality also seems to have improved. I will say the staff and drinks have always been top notch, so no improvement needed there. Happy to see the menu change and save myself some DoorDash fees on my future trips!
PS - make sure you see Micael (Mickey) if you come!

We never have any luck with this place and yet I keep trying. I ordered the falafel burger. They didn’t have it and they offered me a veggie burger. Instead I got an impossible burger, which is not the same. The server was sweet but she didn’t quite get this. They didn’t comp me for my meal or offer to swap it out. After pushing hard I got 15 percent off the burger only. I wasn’t looking for the discount but a meal I could eat.

After a cozy and inviting dinner at Tap & Bitters, nestled within the Somerset Hills Hotels, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, I have a few highlights to share. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the experience quite pleasant. The menu, though not extensive, offered a decent selection. I opted for the Steak & Frites—while the taste was satisfactory, the beef could have been a tad more tender.
However, the real star of the evening was the Passion Fruit Margarita. Its refreshing and balanced taste added a delightful touch to the meal.
Although I wouldn't make a special trip solely for dining here, Tap & Bitters serves as a convenient spot for travelers staying at the hotel to enjoy some warm food and a bar experience.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience dining at the hotel restaurant! The high quality of the food, which exceeded my expectations, pleasantly surprised me. The gourmet-style cooking was genuinely outstanding, and the unique and delicious flavors of the dishes blew me away. The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant, which had clearly undergone recent renovations, also impressed me. The service was impeccable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Every bite of food was an absolute delight, with fantastic flavors and presentations that rivaled even the most expensive restaurants. Overall, I had an excellent dining experience and will definitely return to this restaurant on my next trip to town for business.
This restaurant was just what our family needed after a long day traveling. They offer a kids menu(sliders, pasta, chicken fingers, pizza). They have a great cocktail menu and delicious cold drinks, perfectly mixed. We had burgers and steaks and they were cooked exactly as we asked, piping hot, and delicious. The waitstaff are attentive. Outdoor seating is available and there is a full bar to sit it, if that’s your style. If I’m the area again, I would definitely put this on my list for dinner! Please consider having breakfast on Sundays. That would be a win win for travelers!
This time we were guests at the hotel. We had a big(ish) party of seven ranging in age from 11 to 84. There was something for everyone on the menu. The staff were professional, friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was enjoyed by everyone - clean plate club all around. The draft list has great choices and the cocktails are well made. I do think that the prices are a bit high - in particular for the drinks - but that may be the case for a hotel lobby restaurant. After dinner, three of us stayed behind and retired to the lovely and peaceful patio for some conversation and a few more cocktails. It was a lovely evening. If you are staying at Somerset Hills Hotel, don't walk past this gem, have a drink and a great meal. If you are simply in the area, don't write it off as just a hotel restaurant.
TAP Gastropub is located inside the Somerset Hills Hotel but this is not your average hotel restaurant and bar! TAP has friendly and competent staff and the food is excellent. It’s also beautifully decorated inside and they have a lovely outdoor seating area in the back. The farmer's market salad with grilled chicken and shrimp was delicious. I also recommend the shrimp and shishito peppers appetizer and Brussels sprouts side dish. Their cocktails are yummy too...the seasonal pineapple and peach sangria is deliciously refreshing! I highly recommend it for anyone in the area, not just hotel guests.
One of the best beer selections around. Ask for the special beer list. Live music some nights.
Upscale bar inside a hotel with great outdoor seating accommodations. A bit pricey, however.
