3.5 stars I had not been to Neil's Pizzeria in years, but happened to be in the area recently, so I stopped in with a friend to grab a slice. The staff was very nice and friendly, which is always appreciated. While the traditional place offered a variety of pies, baked dishes, sandwiches, and more, I just wanted something small and loved that they had such a huge selection of random slices for purchase. I wound up selecting the "Pizza Deliziosa", which utilized a thin layer of sauce topped with sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and garlic. First of all, the thin crust was nice and crispy. In addition, since the cheese had been added in slices, the pizza was less greasy, and you could easily remove the cheese if you wanted to. While I enjoyed the Deliziosa and found it well-seasoned and not oily, I also did not think that the mozzarella had any flavor. I would go back to Neil's if in the area, but there are also many other old favorite pizzerias I might revisit first.
