Mr Wonton Chinese Restaurant

Don't understand what everyone is complaining about...what the heck does everyone expect? A 5 star restaurant? There 50 pizza places in the area. The Chinese restaurant is a breath of fresh air. Love the food here and the people here at Mr.Wonton. Will always buy here to support them.

I never remembered Mr. Wonton's food being so good. While I was in the area I had to try it for my YouTube channel where I review Chinese Food (@YuccaWithChopsticks). I was blown away how good the place was, especially when considering they have no competition in the area. Definitely worth it!

Since Covid, they have not reopened the inside restaurant. They only offer take out, which is very good. We keep hoping that they will reopen the inside restaurant, but I'm not holding my breath. Fyi, they make the BEST shrimp egg rolls of any Chinese restaurants my husband and I have been to...and there are many! Even when we're bringing our food home, we always share a piping hot shrimp egg roll (that's how it's listed on the menu...most places it's just called a shrimp roll).

Parking: Only open for takeout...Chinese & Japanese...we only get Chinese so I can't speak to the Japanese, although before Covid, we are in the restaurant with another couple and they ordered Japanese food and sushi and enjoyed it very much.

It's great to have an asian restaurant in our area but it's carry out only. I wish this business would open their dining area or sell to an owner who will provide a seated dining area as well as carry out.

Scallion pancakes were very good, nice dipping sauce. Sesame noodles with peanut sauce appetizer is listed as an appetizer, but the portion was huge, The noodles were tasty and a genuine bargain for a low price. The dining room is closed, so take out only.

Parking: Entrance is on side of building, so is parking.

Just got food poisoning from one of their chicken dishes yesterday. BEWARE OF FOOD POISONING HERE. They seem to be so busy they don’t cook the meats all the way…

The food quality was very good. However,they charged 4% to use my Debit Card ?

I’ve been eating here for 30 years. I’m now only in the area 1-2x/year. I always thought wonton 88 was pretty good Chinese food but this year, idk what changed but it is not great. Not horrible but something is different. I’m going to eat it because it was expensive but I don’t think I’ll be coming back again. Sad.

Staff were nice and friendly. Fairly priced. I ordered chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice. The rice was yellow rice and not fried. Make sure when you order fried wontons that you get them pan fried and not deep fried. Deep fried was not edible and like eating a rock.

Recently moved to the area and am a bit of a Chinese food snob. Although this place looks abandoned, the food makes up for the lack of appearance. The staff is friendly and always working hard. My wife and I couldn't believe the negative reviews of the place. The peaks I have snuck of the kitchen looked clean and compensated for the outside appearance. The food is great and hope people will give this place a try.

Vegetarian options: The veggie lo mein is delish
