Usually when there is a restaurant from our country in a foreign country, we want to visit it and enjoy the food but what a disappointment when your expectations are not to your liking. My husband ordered an encebollado and told the waitress that there was more cassava than fish, I ordered a fry that was served on a very large plate that the portion served made the plate look almost empty, the fry was tasteless, pale in color and A very small portion, they accompanied it with lettuce, unsalted onion sauce and lemon, a little bit of mote and a few toasted corn on top of the mote. The portion is not relevant, it was the taste of the food, not at all pleasant to the palate, the onion was ok. The waitress was alone, she attended the cash register, took the orders, took out the food and attended to the delivery. The place is big and could have a lot of customers, but it needs to be completely remodeled, they still have the photos outside of the previous restaurant. The BOCADITO CUENCANO Poster is almost indistinguishable. I made a video outside the place and sent it to my family and groups of friends who do not visit this place. I bless you and hope that everything goes well for you, but I would never return to this place.Chef Lola

The food was good. However, they did not have some of the plates like seco de Chivo, but they still served it with only a few pieces of meat. We brought our own beers as it was advertised that we could, but then the bill came with a $50 corkage charge! We ended up not paying the charges, but it was uncomfortable as they did not give us any warning.

I waited 47 minutes for them to serve me! There was only one waiter for the entire restaurant, the food was more or less, not bad but it wasn't delicious and I ate many better ones. Anyway, I wouldn't go back!

The place is very cozy, the service is very good and the food, not to mention the encebollado, is 100 out of 10, very good, and the Ecuadorian tray, not to mention everything, it is super, they offer catering for special events with a variety of dishes, the truth is, recommended a thousand times and They have parking which is a plus in West New York

Delicious! It transported me to my Ecuador. The atmosphere is pleasant, the music is very Ecuadorian (cumbia), the food exceeded my expectations, they have a fairly varied menu, there is something for all tastes. I highly recommend the pata broth, the mishki tripe and the tomato juice! A very cozy place, the service is excellent and the people are very friendly.

I've dined at Bocadito Cuencano three times, and it never disappoints. The food is delicious, the service is welcoming, if you're tired of the usual Hudson County options, give it a try. I recommend the Chicken Chaulafan Pollo a la plancha and the Bolon.

Well, my opinion is that I didn't like the mixed bolon that I ordered at all. Maybe it's because of the part of this country that they are from. They are different from the other Ecuadorian places that I have visited. Sorry is my humble opinion. Anyone from the Cuenca area can come here.
