“I’ve been a regular at La Gran Sabana in West New York, NJ, attracted by their great food and exceptional service. However, my latest visit left me surprised and disappointed. For the first time, an automatic gratuity was added to my bill for a simple counter order of two empanadas to go. This change was not communicated upfront, and it’s puzzling why a tip is expected when there’s no table service involved. I believe customers should be informed about such policies. Transparency and clear communication are key to customer satisfaction.

In service 5 ? it is the 2nd time I go and it seemed good to me, however I came back again because I wanted to try the mixed patacon, the meat had excessively a lot of fat or oil, as well as the cachapa with meat and the meat empanadas, I have passed everything the day with reflux and it was bad for all of us, please it is not necessary to cook with so much oil

It used to be a really good place, but now it's really disappointing. I went for lunch (take out) and had to wait for 40 minutes, even though nobody else was there. The food was okay, but they charge 15% of service without telling you, expecting more tip.

I came from Chicago to spend the new year with my family, and we ordered some combos for 21 people, the food was disappointing, the pork was raw, the hallacas were chopped, and the salad was acidic, I have experience in food and a place like this shouldn't be be working. It is very unfortunate that this type of business works, because our food has been awarded here in the United States and is classified as Divine.

I placed an order for the Christmas combos for New Year's dinner, first in the delivery they did not give me the hallacas, I realized when I got home and I had to go back to look for them, the ham breads were raw, the pork was raw, They informed me that the pernil had to be cooked 20 minutes before eating it, however I had to cook it for almost 2 hours, the hallacas and the salad were acidic just by opening them the smell of decomposition was felt, at the end of the dinner we could only eat pernil and bread of ham after cooking them, I do not recommend this restaurant at all

I was on vacation and I searched on Google for a Venezuelan food restaurant, due to my location this was the one that was closest to me. But what a disappointment, we ordered empanadas, they were not the best but we were hungry and we had to eat them, we ordered a cachapa and the cachapa dough is raw, the cheese is a fraud, they could have put imitation hand cheese at least. Not to mention the service, for what we ordered we had to wait almost an hour. I don't recommend it at all

Food was okay, but I don’t know why they charged the 20% for party of two people? Also, they don’t said anything or gave me any receipt so I couldn’t be able to checked it , and course I didn’t knew that, so I left 20% of the tip as well, so 40% tip for two meals. :) doesn’t make any sense to me.
