East Garden Chinese Restaurant

Fast and good food. Very reasonable prices. Not quite a place for sit down but there are a few tables to sit and eat. It's generally for take out, either pick up or deliver. Parking lot is small. Getting in to lot is easier than getting out. Being it's location is at a corner which is often busy. Hard to turn left out of the lot due to the traffic pattern. Love the food there.

I have tried this restaurant over and over because of how close it is to me but I think I am finally done. Their food is so inconsistent. One time I will get something and it will be really good and the next time I will get the same thing again and it will be terrible. The most recent thing I tried was the boneless spare ribs and pork fried rice. The boneless spare ribs were absolutely disgusting . They were soggy and I can’t even put the taste of them into words. They had a very odd taste, they were not sweet and just tasted so different from all the Chinese restaurants I ever tried. I literally threw the boneless spare ribs out. The pork fried rice was good.

This used to be our go to for Chinese food but for the third and final time, we’re done here. I understand with “shrinkflation” everyone is getting less for more, but this was ridiculous. None of the food ordered this evening had any taste and the portions are pointless for what you pay for. 4 people, and everyone said the same thing - dumplings had zero taste, chow mein was all onions, general tao chicken? We actually counted 11 pieces of chicken.
Egg rolls, are nothing but cabbage - they used to have even tiny pieces of meat? Nothing now - and even the cabbage was skimpy. I’ve never seen FLAT EGG ROLLS. Pathetic,
I understand everyone’s menus have “Extra this and that” for essentially what we where getting before? But spices, ginger in dumplings are a basic. Get your act together - this isn’t the first time in the previous few months this has happened. End result, a lot of money was spent and food was below mediocre.

This is how you thank your loyal customers that kept your business alive during the pandemic. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Only order from here because it had 5 stars ever one who rated this five star don’t have taste buds. I ordered orange chicken it was cold and it was general Tosh with orange peals. Order shrimp egg foo young and the gravy was tan not brown the shrimp fried rice with regular fired rice with medium well cooked shrimp on top of old fried rice. The shrimp and broccoli in garlic sauce was watery I would have gave it 3 stars if my food wasn’t cold. My orange chicken is general tosh flavor with over cooked orange peals not orange flavor shrimp roll only had one shrimp chicken wings was just ok

I have to say this is the best chinese food in the area. I am from Brooklyn and trying to find good chinese food is hard, especially in Jersey. I ordered General Tso chicken. Delicious! Steamed dumplings. Yummy. I forgot them and she tried to call me so She sent it to my house with the driver. She is a sweet lady. Thank you for delicious food. This is my new spot. Eggroll taste just like it does in Brooklyn. You want delicious Chinese food. come here!

I am very impressed by this place. The food had so many different flavors and the freshness omg just amazing.. the white rice wasn't that dry like all the other chinise restaurants.. it was different and had flavor. I highly recommend this place for sure! You will not be disappointed and I give them 20 ☆'s...!!!
