We had a reservation for 7:00 and arrived at 7:00. Our table wasn’t ready so we happily went to the bar and ordered margaritas, listed on the drink menu for $15. 40 minutes later we checked in with the hostess as she was seating walk-in customers. Realizing her mistake she quickly seated us so I paid for drinks. Telling the bar tender I wanted to pay for 2 margaritas…he made 2 more and charged me $20 each so we had a bar bill of $85 plus tip before sitting down. Once seated we ordered , my steak was cold like it had been sitting out for an hour. The beer I ordered arrived as we were paying the check. So, no. We are not going back.

Everything was incredible, but my favorites were the maize croquettes, crabmeat tostadas, and the whole fish adobo — absolutely delicious. They’ve also added some exciting new dishes like the Tamarind Sticky Duck Breast and Pork Chop Amarillo that you’ll definitely want to try.
If you’re planning a visit, go between Thursday and Sunday — those are their action days! Trust me, if you’re looking for a great vibe and even better food, Maize is the place to be. 🍹🔥

Un-a-Maized....We came for dinner with a reservation. A very loud chow hall atmosphere...slow inattentive service. Food is very average yet overpriced. Good bar scene....I would suggest just apps and drinks at the bar. There are much better options elsewhere.

The food and drinks at Maize are delicious. Have been across different iterations of their menu since opening. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and very unique.
I am shocked to see that its rating isn’t 5’s across the board, but after looking through the negative reviews it is pretty clear that those leaving the reviews have ulterior motives. If you have a real gripe, fine. But, to leave dishonest reviews about a business is such poor form and tacky. Those people should get a life.

While everyone on the staff is terrific, the best of the best is Ders (great personality/knows the menu inside and out, has a Tide stain remover if needed and more!). If you love crab, get the appetizer featuring same! Drinks are wonderful. Can you tell I ❤️ this place?

I've had the pleasure of going to Maize for lunch, dinner, and later night cocktails and each time was thoroughly impressed. Tucked right next to the train station in Westfield, this restaurant is a perfect example of bringing new life to a space. The menu is thoughtfully prepared and presents contemporary and traditional cuisine options that are matched by a multitude of cocktails that are reasonably priced and of a very high quality. As a spot for night life, daytime eats, or dinner with friends and family, Maize is unmatched in the area.

But the next morning we all had a bout of “stomach issues”. This js not the first review of illness following a visit to this restaurant. I am not sure I can ever return. This is very serious to have these kinds of reviews and should be taken with urgency for this establishment.
