We recently catered an event and were delighted with the quality and quantity of food. We had tea service with a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, frittatas and pastries delivered on time and beautifully arranged in trays. The teas were individually packed and had a good variety.Thank to the owner who dropped by with the food . They are a to go place for high tea??

I don't think its fair to give a bad review since I've never ever talked to anyone here. Ive been trying to call for months to book a bridal shower no one ever calls me back. Even drove there but they were closed. ☹️

Went here for an event. Not impressed. They make their finger food in-house or at least replate it. You know that friend that doesn't know how to cook but wants to impress others so she buys food and puts it on a pretty plate to claim she made it from scratch? Yup, that's what this was. The sandwiches were stale, the desserts looked like they went to ShopRite and picked up a box of pre done brownies and cut them into smaller pieces. At least go to Trader Joe's if you are going to buy desserts and re plate them.. Westfield and surrounding towns have wonderful family bakeries, it seemed a missed opportunity to partner with another business for desserts. They had one type of tea..what tea house has only one type of tea? Oh and I was looking forward to putting sugar cubes in my tea like the movies..instead they had domino white sugar packets..and where were the cucumber sandwiches? Not there. no pinky up sipping tea eating cucumber sandwiches this time..welp! That was anticlimactic. The Queen of England is probably rolling around in her grave at this atrocity. This place was not my cup of tea.

We celebrated my bridal shower at the Mulberry House and it was so lovely. Jenna and her team were so friendly and accommodating to our party, not to mention the food and tea were delicious! Such a cute little place for a perfect tea party ??

We had a formal tea for a post funeral luncheon for my mother. Jenna and her team went above and beyond for our family and friends. It was a perfect end to a difficult day. Thank you so much Jenna!

Thanks to Jenna and her staff at the Mulberry House, our pre-wedding party for our NJ family was an amazing success!! We had some challenges planning the event from out of state, but Jenna ensured we had everything we needed and even provided an easel after ours broke on route. Please note that they don’t get down to the details until 2 weeks before the event, so my advice is to do your own thing for what you can’t plan ahead through the venue. Also the downstairs room is small but was perfect for our 16 guests (you also get the outside porch!). Jenna was so helpful with providing the best suggestions, and we got so many compliments from our guests! The menu options were fancy, plentiful, delicious, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Mulberry House for your next tea party!

Visited with a friend for a dine-in special and had a wonderful time! We enjoyed a 3-course brunch and the food was delicious and fresh. It took a bit for the tea tray to be prepped, but we also didn't feel rushed at all and enjoyed our tea and conversation while we waited. The scones were absolutely delightful! My friend requested clotted cream (I'd never had it before) and they brought some out for us. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for future weekend specials at Mulberry House!

I tried to schedule my daughter’s bridal shower for August. I am planning this shower from out of state. I called and spoke to Jessica in June. I gave her all the information and I scheduled a visit to view the tea house while I was in NJ. Jessica said I would receive the necessary paper work by email in 3 days. Friday before my scheduled visit on the following Sunday, I called again because I had not received any information and to confirm my visit on Sunday. Again all my information was taken during that phone call. My daughter and I arrived as scheduled to view the tea house. The place was locked up. My daughter called the number for the place and asked that they call me. That was in June. I still have not heard from anyone! Needless to say, we are NOT using the Mulberry House! VERY DISAPPOINTED,

What happened to the Mulberry House? Given their current business model of lunch/afternoon tea on Friday and catering in house or out, Thursday - Sunday, why did it seem like our party was their first event? This was my experience:Timing - way off. At 12:30 pm, which I was told during the engagement process food would be served, I was asked when they should start serving. We agreed on 15-20 minutes. About 35-40 minutes later, the food started being brought out. Preparation - when the food started coming out, the staff realized the buffet table was not large enough to hold all of the food and had to move furniture around to accommodate.Food - Highlights - Fruit salad - delicious. It had so many different fruits and berries in it. Scones - were a hit as expected, given that the Mulberry House is a tea house at its core. We were provided white chocolate strawberry and mixed berry scones. Tray of mini desserts - provided complimentary due to the delay in service, included: 1. Chocolate Oreo cake bites - a nice mouthful of chocolate. 2. Oat Fruit bars - two types, raspberry and apricot. Enjoyable, the highlight of the tray. Occasion Cake - awesome. Made to order lemon cake, with raspberry filling, and whipped cream. Given the box the leftovers came in, I believe it was not made in house. Bacon - perfectly cooked, though it seemed to be man handled, as many slices were broken up into pieces. Potatoes - tasty, but not very crispy.Disappointments Scrambled eggs - had green streaks, probably from being cooked or stored at too high a temperature. Not much flavor and no salt and pepper in sight. Frittatas - two types, spinach and tomatoes or ham. Rubbery. Again, they probably suffered from being cooked or stored at too high a temperature. Silver dollar pancakes - both plain and banana, were fine, though many suffered from a pan that was too hot. Garden salad - the ratio of lettuce to the other items mixed in was not very good. After the first few attendees, it was just lettuce. The dressing was good. Tray of mini desserts - also included Strawberry "Truffles" - the centers had the taste and texture of raw strawberry cake batter.Service - one waitress to service our confirmed group of 17. She was engaging and as attentive as she could be. I believe she would have managed our party fine, if she was not also moving furniture around and setting up the buffet. Given everything I remember and have heard about The Mulberry House, I am not quite sure what happened. I reached out to discuss our experience with Jenna, who I worked with to plan the event, but I never heard back. If you are planning an event, I recommend you steer clear. Disappointing to say the least.

Very nice owner- but is overpriced for amount Of food served - its so limited, not enough for what you pay- I orderem for 30! people - that was the must to have a rom upstairs and only 22 came and still was too little food for a lot less people . Also you have to pay rent for room??!!!??! You pay a lot but get very little and look like they are serving with limitation even tea! Not a place I would do party again!

We hosted our daughter's baby shower at Mulberry House. Jenna and her staff were wonderful, the food was great and the setting was beautiful. Jenna was beyond accommodating to our last minute requests for more seating. Thanks, Jenna!

Wanted to share my experience with mulberry house. Similar to many comments below I found working with this venue very frustrating and in the end disappointing. I live in Houston tx and wanted to put a baby shower together for my DIL. I started in october'22 and the entire process was so painful. It took forever to get responses and even at that the info was confusing and all over the place. I finally spoke with Jenna in early Nov and picked a date in March '23 for a tea party. She said the dates were going fast so get my contract signed back quickly. Again went back and forth till I pressed her almost everyday for the contract. Finally I got it in early dec and my urgency was I was going in for major back surgery In dec. Finally got the contract, said a lunch buffet for over 30 people. Our shower was at 11am so yes that was lunchtime to me. As it got closer, I again had to continue to ping her for info. Finally got menu selections in early March and they were for a lunch buffet (pasta, salads, proteins, etc). I wrote right back said no we had discussed the tea party and she said sorry too late to change with her vendor. Now when she told me that the menu selections were not even due for another 10 days. I was so disappointed my DIL had wanted a tea party and I wanted to make that happen. My DIL wrote to her twice to get her to change to a tea party but never heard back. The selection process again was disorganized and she sent a 19 package email with cut and paste from some other places. It didn't flow, had conflicting information and in order to make my selections I had to use their website along with the paperwork they sent. I suggested they create a spreadsheet for ease and convenience of future customers. The room (upstair) books for a minimum of 30 people. There is no way 30 people should be squeezed into that space, it was not safe, no one could move. There is no elevator, I didn't know this before, and of course eldery guests had to climb stairs. The food was good and the servers were very attentive. There was plenty of food left and when we went to leave they said they'd box up the leftovers. Great we said, when we got home there was a full tray of vegetables and a half tray of scones, no salmon or chicken and there had been plenty leftover. Again so disappointed. I wanted to share my experience so others looking to book had this background. I have done 2 other showers in the past few years and working with other venues is a so much better process focused on the customer and simplicity. Just offering this as input and I would have been appreciative of seeing this feedback before I became involved.

Had baby shower there in March 2023. Wanted to love it, but fell short of expectations all around.1. the entire communication process for the event was horrendous - lack of responses, terribly disorganized packages laid out, conflicting time frames for arrival and setup. 2. the minimums for the spaces are ridiculous, you cannot fit the minimum amount comfortably.3. day of they were clearly not ready for the party to start on time.4. we had to ask consistently for standard items like plates and utensils for the crudités, also for some of the drinks we ordered.5. set up a mimosa bar with 0 juices.6. spelt happiness wrong on the cake. 7. did not label (as we were toldthey would) desserts and told us one of the cupcake a was peanut butter, mom to be has a peanut allergy and nothing peanut was ordered.8. did not replenish drinks.

I just celebrated my daughter’s baby shower at this place. I wanted a garden-themed tea party & Mulberry House did not disappoint! Jenna & her staff were extremely helpful, friendly & went over & beyond. My only problem is, they have way too many great options to choose from, the food & teas were delicious. I want them all! It’s such a beautiful, quaint place. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Nice variety of vegan options.

If you are looking to host a Baby/Bridal Shower look no further for a caterer. Jenna and her staff at Mulberry House in Westfield are amazing. Easy to work with, fun, compassionate and PATIENT. I hosted my daughter's baby shower this past week at home and worked with Jenna for 2 months planning the menu, decor ideas, setup etc. Every few days/weeks I would modify the menu to include something additional or change an item on the original list and every request was met with a smile and a "no problem."This was the first time after hosting a party I don't have a refrigerator full of left overs, everything was eaten and throughly enjoyed. All that is left is a few scones and a few random pastries. I have received numerous texts asking for the Veggie Dip Recipe...currently being referred to as crack.QUALITY OF FOOD 10CUSTOMER SERVICE 10COST 10EXPERIENCE. 10
