Exceptional customer service. The hostess actually walked my food out to my car in the parking lot. Food was delicious and made quickly.****UPDATE, After having such a good experience at this restaurant I contacted them to have an event catered. The owner answered the call and immediately asked if I was looking for cheap pricing. I stated I like to know the pricing to make sure I stay within my price range. She stated "well I can refer you to a place in Elizabeth that's cheap I'm not sure about the quality of food but I know that it's cheap it's not like my food because I'm in Westfield". I was taken aback by this comment since I didn't ask for any sort of discount I just wanted to know the pricing. She stated she would call me back and that call never came. Completely unprofessional and I will never give this restaurant my business again.

The worst of the worst Cuban food we ever ate , the stars they have must to be from those American people that doesn’t know the taste of the Cuban Food . Out of 5 orders just one of us said “it’s ok “ not to mention that my congrí/rice with black beans the whole cup , was the bottom of the rice , meaning the hard part . What a waste of our money . Shame , shame you are making Cuban food Cuban people to look bad .

***This review was written as descriptive as possible for customers and for management to improve***I visited this restaurant this past weekend for a second time from out of town with my lunchdate, and I was deeply disappointed with tge service and food.Upon arrival at 12:45pm after 45 mins after the restaurants opening time, I was met by a female worker who alerted us that the restaurant was not ready for customers and to come back in 30 mins. I was a little confused by the statement but was hopeful, so we waited for 30 mins and returned back to the restaurant to be seated. (We were the only customers at the restaurant) I explained my frustration with the wait, and the server responded that the delay was due to the chiefs' late arrival. The female restaurant worker seated us, and we ordered appetizers, virgin drinks, and our main entrees (restaurant does not serve alcohol). Our drinks and appetizers arrived at our table. The virgin drinks were very poorly made with minimal effort for virgin drinks. With the mojito tasting like Sierra Mist and my lunch dates, sangria tasting like fruit punch. (Totally not worth the 14 dollars total) . The chicken empanada in which we ordered were tasteless with the crust pretty much the only thing making the appetizer edible. The shrimp appetizer was over salted and lacked authentic flavor.Remaining hopeful we didn't want to complain and for certain we were hoping our meals would be better.About 20 mins later, our meals arrived. I order half baked chicken with black beans and white rice. The black beans were watered down, and upon tasting, the beans were hard. The white rice was sour and had a very foul filthy odor with very hard grains, presenting that the food was spoiled. My lunch dates rice with beans was also hard presenting to be stale/reheated. We immediately contacted the server about the spoiled food and made the decision to leave in fear of becoming sick with food poisoning from the spoiled food that was served. The server insisted that there was a spice change with the plain white rice, but I knew that this was not the case given the foul odor and sour taste.Although deeply disappointed with the service and food, I paid for theunfinished appetizers and drinks in which we were charged. In the face of all disappointments the server could have taken the initiative to compensate for the long wait to be seated and for the spoiled food that was served, but no further compensation was provided by the restaurant given all that we enduredUnfortunately, I will never be able to return back to this restaurant or recommend it at this time. There were several failed errors and opportunities to improve upon customer satisfaction. The owner needs to reevaluate this establishment, the health and safety of their food, and the general service.

Food is pretty good and most dishes come with 2 sides. Prices can be a bit overpriced for what you get, portion sizes are just enough (likely location inflation). Tried the chicken & beef empanadas, Salmon e mango entree and ofc Tres Leches! Everything was super tasty, specifically the way they crisp up the salmon!!However, I have had better & more “bang for your buck” Cuban food before but overall a nice place to have a meal. The restaurant itself is very small and narrow, I would avoid going in groups larger than 4 ppl.

I recently visited Old Havana and had a mixed experience. The food was good, and the initial interaction with the owner seemed promising. However, everything went south when I inquired about the credit card surcharge on my bill. The owner's response was extremely unprofessional; she raised her voice and caused a scene, making the situation embarrassing for both of us. Unfortunately, this negative encounter overshadowed the positive aspects of the meal.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible terrible experience with the owner herself. I went with my family, we ordered the picadera platter and everything was amazing at first. Once I received my bill, I noticed a credit card fee for using my DEBIT card. I asked if the fee is waived for debit since it’s technically cash, not credit. Then I asked that it’s technically illegal under the NJ A42A4 which states that fees cannot exceed 2.5% of the transactions and it cannot benefit the business and the FEES MUST be disclosed on the menu. I know this because my wife works in the industry. Anywhom, the owner starts making a fuss and tells me I need to get out of the restaurant and bring cash , she refused to take my card, she was making a show in front of other patrons. then she tells me to leave and not pay just go. I didn’t leave because I’m not that kind of person, I wanted to pay for services. She then comes back and throws a paper on my desk about her credit card policy. Then she comes back again and apologizes because she’s had a rough day and was stressed. This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had. I will never come back to this establishment. Very unprofessional of the owner.

First, let me say the owner is a very lovely and gracious woman. If I based this review on her alone, I would have given them 5 stars. However, there were some food issues. The chicken croquettes were quite tasty as was the sauce that came with them. I ordered the steak with onions medium and my wife ordered the Cuban sandwich. Unfortunately , my steak was overcooked and fatty. Although I have learned this cut of meat tends to be on the fatty side so that's not their fault. The rice and beans that came with the steak were absolutely delicious though. I could eat an entire plate of just that. I brought the issue to the owners attention and she took it away without any problems and asked if I wanted something else. I kept the rice and beans and asked for a Cuban sandwich. I've had many Cuban sandwiches in my day but this was mostly bread. Where's the meat? I think my wife had one pickle on her whole sandwich. We got the bill and the owner did not charge us for my replacement Cuban sandwich because I didn't like the steak. She explained they are training their sous chef to temporarily be their regular chef as he is taking a much needed vacation. Unfortunately, he is still learning and making mistakes. She seemed very upset about it because it's affecting her business. My wife and I felt very bad for her, I just wanted to give her a hug and tell her that things will get better. I would definitely give them a second chance just based on the rice and beans and the owner's personality.

The food was incredible, so flavorful, every plate we had was delish. The place and service was so homey. It was a great date night, Can't wait to go back and try more things!

Great Cuban food with amazing staff! Havana sampler, fried baby back ribs, and maduros were all delicious. Highly recommend all three options.

We picked up dinner after and errand run in Westfield. And Old Havana….So good. The garlic shrimp was to die for. The pork juicy and so much flavor even after sitting in the oven for a while and the plantains yum. Next time we eat there.
