I loved the ambiance and décor! The service was great, albeit it wasn't busy when I went. I also liked that it was BYOB. The food was good, overall (more details below). But, as previous reviews have mentioned, the price tags for the food weren't justifiable. To be fair, the restaurant sells itself as modern and upscale with an innovative play on Indian cuisine. So I understand the prices will be higher than a typical Indian restaurant, however, in my opinion, the food wasn't "innovative" enough nor was the quality bloody superb to be worth the price. Hotel Buhari's Famous Chicken 65 ($18): What really completed this dish was their curry leaf aioli. Without it, I don't think the dish would have been that special.Stuffed Chicken Tikka Bao Buns ($18): Mine and my fiancé's top favorite dish. Absolutely delicious!Shrimp Alleppey ($32): This was our least favorite dish. The sauce/gravy was too thin.Traditional Butter Chicken - Tangri ($33): We asked for it to be boneless, which they were able to accommodate. We did like this dish, but it also tasted like any typical butter chicken. There was no innovative spin on this dish so why it's $33, boggles me. You can get great-tasting, authentic butter chicken elsewhere in Jersey for way less.Biggest Garlic Naan ($14): It was good but somewhat disappointing - the bottom was fairly burnt. On a better note, the size portion was great.

This place is amazing and best part is BYOB. Great upscale Indian food with tremendous flavor - you'll not be disappointed. I love the service and the ambiance of this place. I been here twice and I have nothing but good things to write about this spot. Come try it because the pictures describe the food exactly. Keep up the great work.

We had the Chicken Tikka Bao Buns, Braised Lamb, Chili Naan, and Butter Chicken. With the Bao buns tasting the most unique, and the braised lamb falling short tasting relatively bland. The service was great, with nice staff. When we went the area was incredibly quiet despite being a weekend, but the lighting made it look like an elevated experience. While the food was alright, what really hurt the review was the pricing. You are paying a high premium for something that is not a luxury experience. You can get similar if not better tasting food in Summit or Highland Park for a much smaller price tag.

I really like this place! I came for a business dinner and had a fantastic experience. We were able to snag a last minute reservation during the week and the atmosphere is very nice. Dim lighting (feels appropriate for a date but also casual enough for a family). Wow, the food is sensational! Everything was amazing: gluten free naan, cauliflower, chickpea masala, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken were all flavorful (and you can determine your spice level)! So good, I even went back the next day. It is a bit of a higher price, but it's completely worth it!

Had a feast @spicebazaarnj and I highly recommend it! Their menu features a wide variety of Indian classics and specials, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The dishes are modern, but the flavors are still authentic. We ordered the:Masala Dosa Croquettes: These croquettes were filled with a delicious masala filling and served with coconut chutney. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside.Shakarkandi Sweet Potato Chaat: This chaat was packed with flavor, and the sweet potatoes were a great addition.Ten Spice Chicken Sheekh Kebab: These kebabs were juicy and flavorful, and the spices were perfectly balanced.Yellow Tadka Lentils/Daal Tadka: The daal was delicious and creamy, and they paired perfectly with the kebabs and Lacha paratha (layered flatbread). The paratha was served hot and crispy. Definitely would order this again. Tandoori Achari Cottage Cheese (paneer) Tikka: This was the best dish on the menu! The paneer was perfectly cooked, and the flavors of tikka masala and pickles were amazing.I'll definitely be back to try more of their modern Indian dishes. We were sitting outside this time, so we didn't get to experience their interactive dining experience, but we'll be back for that too!

Spice Bazaar is not just dinner, it's an experience. They take classic dishes from traditional Indian cuisine and twist them to be more modern, with some less-traditional ingredients and gorgeous plating techniques. The ambience is a bit dark and very sexy, a great date-night destination. The service was friendly, and they made accommodations for us on a certain menu item. We also mentioned on our reservation on Open Table that we were coming to celebrate our friend's birthday and they surprised us with Gulab Jamun and a sparkler candle. It wasn't cheesy with a song and dance, thankfully, and my friend who loves all things instagram worthy was thrilled with the surprise and the beautiful candle.

Great food and ambiance, quite expensive, street parking is available but little hard to get one, Jim was our server, who was amazing and helpful, and he suggested us some dishes as it was our first time there.Overall, nice place to visit.

I was excited to give this modern Indian restaurant a try. When I arrived I found parking not too far. I walked in and was greeted. Akil, our server, walked my friend and I to our seats. The restaurant was so nicely decorated! It is BYOB fyi. Akil was super kind, and he started us with appetizers. I got the stuffed tikka chicken bao bun, and my friends got the crispy cauliflower. Both were absolutely delicious! The bao was super soft. We also had octopus, and it was delicious!Next were our meals, I got the shrimp alleppay and my friend got the salmon. The plates looked delicious when it came out. They both were excellent, and the flavors were on point! For dessert, we got the chef's choice of two dishes, and both were very tasty! We absolutely had an incredible experience and I would definitely return!

Visited on a very busy Saturday night and luckily we had reservations that were honored on time. Our neighbor had been here on multiple occasions and highly recommended it. We took her along with us and both were great decisions. It's a modern, upscale, and trendy restaurant with a good vibe. We began with appetizers that included naan, crispy cauliflower, and the masala dosa croquettes. Naan was fresh and served warm. The cauliflower was seasoned perfectly and the dosa croquettes were a big hit. Excellent start. Our entrees included the chicken tikka kabab lahori and the chickpea masala. WOW. The chicken dish was outstanding. Huge portion with a some heat to it. Really delicious. The chickpea masala was a big hit as well. Nice spices. Everything was delicious from the beginning to the end. The service was excellent. The prices were on the high end but the quality of food, the service, and ambiance was well worth it. There were public parking lots in the area. I would highly recommend making a reservation regardless of the day of the week you visit.

Great food. Great service. For appetizer had the spinach chat and crispy cauliflower. Both were great. For dinner ordered daal makhni, kadhai paneer and naan. All 3 were delicious. Portion size is decent. Diogo, akhil and Rahul were observant and hospitable. Worth checking out if you are craving decent Indian food.

Food was delicious and service was polite and attentive. Agree with others that the dessert menu could be a little better, considering the quality of everything else. We will definitely return and I can easily rate this as best Indian food I've had in the area.
