4/13/24. celebrating our 52 anniversary, and daughters birthday. Deanna our waitress was awesome from the go. The Filet Mignon ordered med rare, the burgers ordered med, rare, all over cooked. vegetables were not cooked long enough. we got a free desert. the manager never came to table. poor management. thank you Deanna, your awesome.

I was there before it changed over to the Rail. Food was average. The server was attentive. The worst part was the female Patton, yelling constantly to the people she came with. Definitely ruined the meal and atmosphere.

Stopped in with a few friends and there was a band. The band was terrible. We got 2 drinks and paid over $21 which was ridiculous. The drink prices were really high. No one was there so we left. Would not recommend. Place was dead.

My wife and i moved into the area in 2023. When I worked in Whitehouse Station about 20 years ago, we would occasionally go to The Junction (same location but different owners). After moving to Readington, I wanted to see how The Rail was. We've been back at least a half dozen times and have yet to have a bad experience. We've tried the giant pretzel, various wraps, salads, meatloaf entree, ravioli entree, and burgers. All of then have been delicious. It's very casual inside. Even though it's right next to the train tracks, trains through the area are infrequent and non-invasive. All of the staff have been very friendly. The only change I'd suggest is having the list of beers available either at the table or via 3D barcode (like through Untappd).
