Beach Creek Oyster Bar & Grill

We wanted to sit in the patio area which was half full. Lots of tables set up, ready for patrons. Noone greeted us. We stood next to the have the 'hostess seat you' sign for almost 10 minutes. Finally a waitress passed by and responded that we need to go inside to see THAT hostess. She was a little rude and not at all welcoming. Said the wait for the patio was 30 minutes. We were a little surprised and went to sit at the bar and have a drink and wait. After being ignored by two bartenders for about 6 minutes, we decided to try a different venue. We thought the decent thing to do was inform the hostess, but she ignored us for a couple minutes while talking on her phone. So, we just left and went to a very nice Italian restaurant and spent $200 on dinner. They got a solid 4 star rating.

We had two really great experiences at Beach Creek over the past two weeks. During our first visit, we waited at the bar for about 30 minutes and Devon was our bartender. She was very professional, approachable and attentive. We enjoyed an appetizer at the bar and then were seated for dinner outside. Dinner was very good and our meals arrived quickly. We enjoyed the crab cakes and the blackened mahi. My only disappointment is that the menu includes mashed potatoes with a lot of the seafood entrees. I am not a fan of mashed potatoes with seafood, so it's a personal preference. I did swap out regular mashed with sweet potato mashed and that was a better option for me.

During our second visit last night we decided to sit at the outdoor bar and enjoy cocktails and apps for dinner. The bartenders outside were just as friendly and attentive as before. We really enjoyed the mahi fingers (yum, get 2 orders) and the old bay crab dip. It's off season, so the bar was full but not crowded. I can imagine the outdoor space gets very busy and the indoor area could get noisy. Just know that ahead of time. We plan to return next season. Thank you Beach Creek for a relaxing night with good food and cocktails. I recommend the Hendricks Creek martini for just $15!

Ok. been here many times and liked it, but tonight it was not good!
First the hostess was totally unfriendly which set the pace. Our server was ok but very cool, never a smile . Then there was the food. Steamers were good as my dinner Shrimp Asperge was ok. But my husband's dinner looked awful. He ordered the scallops. 5 of the tiniest scallops we had ever seen that looked white with a mound of brownish mashed potatos . Asked why they looked like that she said it was the skin!!
Drinks were just ok. Atmosphere waaaay too dark in there and the jazz was putting us to sleep! Anyway, a 178.00 dollar bill came and honestly if the food was delicious we would not of cared. It was his birthday so we were very disappointed! C'mon, shouldn't the scallops have been big and juicy for 42.00? I would rather dine where I can see the food and where the staff is friendly and welcoming! Staff and food 1 star. Go to the Lobster House!

After seated on the covered patio, noticed 3 empty hightops in the open air section. Asked waitress if we could move to one of those tables. She said no. Tables were empty the entire night. This is a tourist trap. Have been going to restaurants in Wildwood for many years & clearly this is one! Ordered clams casino app, stuffing was great, clam was like a rubber ball, could not eat. Asked waitress if she ever tried the clams Casino and she said yes. Then I told her how inedible it was. She never told a manager or the chef. She did not do the right thing and contact a manager with our complaint. Terrible service.

Went for dinner last night for the Early Bird special before 5PM, and had a very nice time. The food was great, nice portions, soup had great flavors, salmon cooked perfectly, and our waitress was very attentive. You could tell the entire waitstaff was working hard to keep guests happy and they did a fabulous job. This is our new go to place for a nice night out in Wildwood!
