Worst place ever. Was charged $24 for 3 empanadas what a scam $8 each. Am puertorican and this place horrible it’s the most expensive empanadas I’ve bought in my life. Got one of each chicken beef and spinach. My spinach one was still cold not cooked inside at all told them and they refused my refund or to give me a fresh cooked worm one. If it wasn’t that I was on vacation far away from home I would have probably smack them with the pastelito. Am from Boston and this place no hood at all no flavor they can only scam Americans because American don’t know any difference between real Spanish good food

Worst place ever no price on anything a big scam am puertorican and these pastelito have no flavor.Your better off buying from Giovanna's Hispanic restaurant there empanadas are half the price and 10 times better and better service . This place charged me $24 for 3 pastelito that's $8 each that's crazy over priced never in my life I've paid that much for one. I got a Spinach pastelito it was not cooked properly it was cold told the lady to stick her finger it's cold she refuse to give me refund or cook me another one correct and worm you can get someone really sick if the food isn't cooked correctly and checked for inner temperature. This place the worst along with the people working there. Please don't buy anything from this places there a reason why they don't put price on anything it's because they over charge and charge what ever they want it's a scam. Horrible place ever don't buy from here please

La Cava is a testament to NJ's love of diners, given that the menu here covers just about any Boardwalk food you can imagine. The downside to that strategy, much like a typical NJ diner, is that most of their offerings aren't good. I had one of the worst cheesteaks I've ever eaten, which was some blend of finely chopped and full steak pieces, both cooked and undercooked. The chicken fingers had a waxy quality to them, and the breading came off in sheets from the boiled-looking insides.I do give a couple of stars because it's a great place to grab a quick drink or a generic ice cream bar if you're in the center of the Boardwalk. Just try and find literally anywhere else for your standard fried beach fare.

DONT EAT HERE! The pizza, fries and sausage all tasted freezer burnt. Didn't even finish. Awful!

I went here with two friends of mine. I got chicken tenders and a drink and my friend got just nachos and a drink . When asked if I wanted fries I said no . My total was $15.50. My friend’s total was $16.50 . For nachos and a drink it came to $16.50 . Not only were the chips stale , the cheese was horrible and practically inedible. My friend unfortunately ended up tossing it away . I only got 3 freaking tenders . $15.50 for 3 tenders are you serious ? Not to mention if you’re paying card there’s an extra charge which I’ve never ever had at any other place on the board walk . And last but not least their policy of , if a seagull were to smack your food out of your hands it’s not their problem and they don’t owe you anything if it happens cause it isn’t their fault . Surprise it isn’t the customers fault either . At least replace the food Never again . Disgusting food . Prices aren’t listed .Stay away at all costs !

$40 for two empanadas, Stromboli, and water. Empanadas and Stromboli were almost empty. Weirdest Stromboli I’ve ever had- dough was not traditional thick boli dough. Very thin weird dough with old bay or some seasoning on top that didn’t belong on a Stromboli. Bad service and nasty food.

I went to this restaurant as I wanted to buy 2 sundays; it got super complicated to explain the lady that I wanted regular sundays... She charged me 12$, which was ok for 2 sundays. Then she came back with it and told me that she only charged me one sunday, she needed my card for the other one. I got really shocked and told her that the prices aren't written nowhere. She then replied me that it was my responsability to ask!!!! Oh well, I only took one sunday and left her pissed off with the second one... This over expansive dessert wasn't even satisfying!!! Don't go to that place!!!

other than the cheesesteaks being good i would not recommend this place. i orders 3 cheese stakes and one with fires. told me it would be $21 and asked if i wanted a receipt and i said no because i don’t like having extra papers and the possibility of dropping it on the board walk, well was that a big mistake because when i get the notification that it was $42.64!!!! i will be going back tomorrow and seeing what’s up, but that will probably get me no where smh why a rip off

I go here every year to get odd deep fried food. Little Debbie brownies are amazing. And the uncrustables

I was charged $45 for a funnel cake, 5 oreos and 5 cookie dough bites. I asked the lady why it cost that much and she said the funnel cake was $16 and the oreos are 6.50. Conveniently leaving out that would mean the cookie dough would cost around $22??

Funnel cake was great. Sugar and strawberries topping. Delicous.Fried Oreos were good.

Pizza was below average. Overpriced. 18 bucks for some fries with cheese and two slices of pizza ????
