We really wanted to like Joey M's. We had read that people seemed to like it.

The service was attentive, yet a little theatrical. Like we were on a movie set of a bad mafia movie.

The food......
I safely assure you that I have had better Italian in local diners.

Violently disappointing... Terrible.

Now let me say that I was raised in the restaurant business and am very understanding of situational shortfalls, but this dining experience was just plain bad. Ordinarily, we like to give sencond chances, not for Joey M's

We visited Joey M's La Piazza this evening for the first time. We had the chicken parm w/spaghetti and the calamari w/white garlic sauce over spaghetti. Hot bread came out first, and both the entree's were excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The venue was adorned with many celebrity photos and had good Italian music playing in the background. We can recommend Joey's for a good dining experience.

Best calamari I've had in my 63 years in the planet!!! The early seating menu was amazing with good portion sizes, home style house salad on icy chilled plates, a stracciatelle to die for, and sweet ice cream topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup for dessert. I'll be back!!!

Joey M's! I love this place & Joey M so much. From his live streams to his restaurant, his work brings me so much joy. The food is great & they have early birds right as they open. You can call before they open and you'll get a call back if you want to make a reservation. Joey M is super kind and got a photo with my dad and I. Great place, great staff, great food.

Parking: If you call and ask, they can give you directions to their parking lot.

Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible.

We arrived for the early bird specials. Reasonably priced with good portion size. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive. The ambience of the restaurant is pure Italian...from the music to the photos on the wall. As far as the food goes, the bread with oil was tasty and a nice appetizer. We had a party of eight and EVERYONE loved their meal. Personally, I had flounder it was the tastiest I ever experienced. We got to talk to the owner, Joey M. and he was gracious enough to take a photo with my daughter. She loves his Facebook page. Ample parking across the street from the restaurant and there is street parking as well. This was our second visit and we are looking forward our next one already.

Parking: Parking is directly across the street in the lot, or you can use street parting.

Omg the food was extremely delicious! ? This hidden gem was exactly what my family and I needed on our trip to Wildwood during our fourth of July vacation. The shrimp scampi over pasta was mouth watering. I never finish eating the food on my plate, but this dish was not going to waste. The lobster ravioli was delicious, Chicken Alfredo was my daughter's favorite. She had so much food, she finished it the next day and it was just as delicious. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Wildwood.

Fantastic food . We were a party of 7, no sweat for the waiter. If you want it, just ask is their motto. Their food is like your grandma cooked it in her kitchen. Extremely accommodating to people with various allergies. One dish was better than the next. House salad was simply delish and yet kept you going back for more. Don’t miss out on this gem. ?

Overall I really like LaPiazza!
Over the years I've been there several different times in their 3 locations.
The entrees are awesome. The atmosphere is nice and quaint. And, the staff is very polite and attentive.
However, on this trip, the calamari appetizer was the worst I've ever had.
It was rubbery and too greasy. (I've had it in the past where it was great but I guess it was cooked a little too long this time. It happens!)
Now, a few things I didn't like.....
1) they charge $4 for a glass (probably 10oz.) of soda and they charge you for each one without telling you.
2) there's a $5 credit card charge which I also wasn't told about it.
3) it's a little pricey for the total dining experience.

The atmosphere was very nice, like eating at my Grandparents house… or great grandparents. We are in our early 40s without question the youngest family at the restaurant. ( no it wasn't 4pm in the afternoon…. It was 8pm on a Friday) The food was sub par at best. My daughter had a plate of ravioli, my wife a plate of bolognese and fresh pasta, I had the linguine & clams … which were all mehhh. Im not sure if you only get one drink per meal or if the waitress forgot about us. I was very disappointed with this restaurant that came highly recommended from a couple of customers of mine. I feel like I wasted a great night at the beach while on vacation a night I can’t get back. Oh well if I learned anything it’s that my wife is a better cook than whoever is slinging pasta at Joe Ms. This place is an offer I definitely should’ve refused. On the positive side at least I can afford to eat where all the rich old money goes to dine.
