Olympic Island Beach Resort

My daughter and her friends wanted to goto wildwood for memorial day weekend. We found this hotel. It is absolutely so nice. The room was big and roomy. We had a private bedroom area, bathroom, kitchenette, living room and a dining area. The pool was clean and the views of the ocean/beach were very nice. There is also an area with grills and sitting area to eat at, we did not use that but many other guest did. The beach is just outside the hotel and the board walk is close by. We rented bikes for the weekend. There is a resturant that serves breakfast and lunch, found it to be a little pricey. Dave and Alana that work the front desk area were awesome. Whatever we needed they made sure we had it or told us where to get it. Dave gave the girls the rules of the Boardwalk and curfew so they knew. The area was quite, and still close enough to do everything. Area was well patrolled and extremely save. No issues at all. Highly recommend.

I was really looking forward to a relaxing beach vacation, but this hotel totally missed the mark. For a place right by the beach, you'd expect a fun, lively atmosphere-especially some music or entertainment to enjoy while lounging or dining.
Instead, they don't allow any music, even at a reasonable volume. It felt unnecessarily strict and took a lot of the joy out of the trip.
The setting is beautiful, but what's the point if you can't even play soft music on a speaker without being told to turn it off? Not ideal for people looking for a social or vibrant beach experience.
If you're looking for peace and quiet to the extreme, maybe this is for you. But if you're hoping for even a little bit of a fun beach vibe, l'd look elsewhere

We loved when we spent a week there a few years back. Loved every minute of ot.

Stayed summer of 2024 and absolutely enjoyed our stay. Room was simple, nice and clean. I liked that there was a full size fridge and a separate bedroom. The bathroom could use a few extra hooks for towels and whatnot.
Check in was easy and everyone was super nice. They have a cart to assist you in getting your bags to the room and an elevator. Parking was easy too. Overall, very nice stay.

Rooms: Clean and cozy, and if you need room service, the girls come by in the afternoon. Nothing to complain

Nearby activities: Crossing the track we are already at the beach, there is a cafe in the resort itself on both sides, there are shops for renting bikes so you can go to the parks in peace.

Safety: Covered garage, safes in the room. Someone is always watching in addition to the external cameras.

Wonderful view! Direct access to the beach, family atmosphere, clean and airy. It's been incredible and spending my birthday here is fantastic!

Nearby activities: Close to everything you want in Willwood to have fun and have incredible days.

Safety: There are even safes in the rooms for more security for those who need it.

Walkability: Super affordable, staying here is enough, but going for a walk is also part of it and everything is close to the place.

Food and drinks: I like some things on the menu, but I prefer rich homemade food. There are even kitchens in the rooms for those who prefer to make their own food. I loved

My family and I love this hotel. We have been coming here for a few years now. The rates are reasonable, and management and staff are friendly and helpful. I love the calm and quietness of the hotel and the area. They have a large pool and a wonderful large deck area. We always get an ocean view room, and it has beautiful views!

We have stayed at the Olympic Island for the past three years. Every time has been a great experience.

The Staff is great. The rooms are tidy and well equipped. The pool is a great size and clean. The views and short walk to the beach are unbeatable. There is also a nice little breakfast / lunch spot on the bottom floor as well.

Can't beat this for a perfect beach vacation. Close enough to walk to the Boardwalk, but also far enough where it is quiet.

Look forward to coming to the Olympic Island in a few weeks!

This place was a GOD SENT. I had a terrible experience with a prior hotel. Expedia was able to move my booking here as I was down there for the music festival for 5 days. The manager/owner was fantastic. After hearing what I dealt with in regards to the other hotel, he put a rush on my room to speed up the cleaning so I could check in. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The rooms were spotless smelled wonderful and on top of it, it’s a non smoking facility so no need to smell the younger crowds habits (loved that). From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly smiling and they even helped me bring all of my stuff to the room. They were patient with me (as I was angry at the previous hotel) the manager checked in with me numerous times to ensure my vacation was a better experience with them. The windows that over look the ocean were spotless & beautiful. The pool and outer area of it was clean and organized. Two grills were available for use as well. All in all, I WILL be booking here again. Thank you for all of your patience and the wonderful service. It was a pleasure.

Our family has been coming to this hotel for many years and we have never been disappointed. Location is unbeatable... (right across from the beach).... Service is dependable.. (they go out of their way to fix things immediately if something goes wrong) and it is maintained clean. The few times we had issues, they go out of their way to make it right. This year, their elevator broke down before we checked in and they had extra hands ready to help us unload and bring things into the rooms. They apologized for the inconvenience,,, but that is the only negative here this year.... not bad at all. Full kitchenette to make meals, and you will be hard pressed to find another property here at WildWood Crest that is cheaper or has any better accommodations. Great pool for kids and adults and a beautiful view too!
