I ordered the salmon with rice and peas and cabbage. Ideally, I should have asked what the sauce was on the salmon first. It was way too sweet for my liking. The salmon did have a nice sear on it. The sweetness of the salmon sauce kinda ruined my rice and peas and the cabbage needed a bit more seasoning. Overall, I would go back and try something else.
It's so hard to find DECENT food options today. I visited Sun Island today and ordered the Sweet & Sour Salmon and Collard Greens... OMG! The salmon, very tasteful, not dry and the Collards.. AMAZING. I will return. Please do not change. Also, loved the cleanliness as well.
I’m excited about the $6.99 lunch special. The food is delicious, good portion and I got free soda on the side. One of the best Caribbean restaurants in Willingboro/Burlington. I’m all about supporting other black owned businesses. Keep up the good work SunIsland! I will be back! God bless??
