Gross. Food was not as listed on the menu. I honestly thought it was us being crazy until I heard another table complaining to waiter about his meal not being as listed on the menu. They proceeded to tell him he was wrong -he then asked for the menu to show them. They never came to the table to ask if we needed more drink. There were flies all over inside. Just gross with bad service. Such a shame. We used to like going there. In the last year it has gone way downhill. I don't know if they changed owners or what the issue is. We won't be back.

We stopped here on the way home from Cape May. Homemade chicken salad with walnuts & grapes. It had chunks of chicken not shredded. It was delicious. Hubby had the fried pickle burger 🍔 and he ate every last bite of it. 🤣. We both upgraded to fries which were excellent. The bartender/server was friendly and service was good. We found out she is the owner’s daughter. The restaurant and bathroom were both neat and clean. They do offer outside seating which permits dogs. We got to meet their new mascot, an 8 week old mini sheepadoodle, so cute! Side note: they offer a rewards program. PS 3% credit card fee.

Ordered a Brisket reuben,and Red, White & Blue burger (special for July 4th) which were both over cooked. Burger could be used the repair the soles on a leather shoe and the brisket was re-fried from being cooked the day before. To cap off the day, about a dozen of flies would land on us and our food while dinning in the booth. We were told that nothing could be done about them. Suggestion; try an electronic insect zapper & locate it by the entrance door on the outside so they will not make it into the establishment.

The food was good. The service was great. I was approached by multiple people asking how everything was and I liked my shrimp tacos. My dinner mate had the pulled pork rueban and couldn't stop talking about how good it tasted.

Asked for my burger well done but not over cooked and they gave me the blackest most burnt burger ever.. not to mention the fries were amazing but I’ll go into shock from all that salt felt like it never ended. Needless to say first and last time there !
They have a homemade veggie burger that is absolutely delicious. It is the best place in Cape May County to get a veggie burger.

I heard good things about surf dog and wanted to try their food. Nice dining room. They were playing guess this band who sung what song? Not too loud. I ordered Colby's crazy Cuban . Not cheap at $16. Ham, pork, pickles, ect. Problem was- this was not a Cuban, not in the traditional sense, anyway. The meat and ingredients were very flavorful. They used the wrong bread. And it was toasted, not pressed. Bread left a gritty sensation in my mouth. A true Cuban is very thin bread, maybe thin porteguse white or small roll, grilled in a press with a lid that makes it a thin sandwich. So, they used the wrong bread and Wrong preparation. Potato chips were commercial and very bland. For this price, make home made deli chips, new York deli style. It's cheap and easy to make home made deli chips. Sandwich was Not bad, but it could have been great. No excuses to not follow a traditional recipe. My friends salad with fruit was sent back after he specified no onion, and that is what he got - onions. On the second try - no onion and the salad with fruit was good Surf dog has to up their game.
