8/9/25 - Jose Tejas on Rte. 9 in Woodbridge has been my go to Mexican restaurant since moving to NJ back in 2002. The food was always good but we did stop going for a number of years. Why? Because if you show up there any time after 4pm, be prepared to wait. And wait. Very good place. Amazing food and great service. We love coming here and our favorites are chicken. pastelitos and blackened chicken fingers. The tacos are really good as well combined with some awesome drinks.
I hadn't been here since February 2020. Jose's is still great. Went around 7pm on a Thursday. There was a 15 minute wait to get a table because the place was packed. The Blackened Chicken Fajita was as great as I remembered it.
