I'm not from New Jersey, and not anywhere near Colonial NJ, but I happened to be there working, and walked in and ordered 3 Slices of pizza and a cannoli, and let me simply say, it was some of the best pizza I've had, service was excellent, staff was very friendly, these folks don't play, the price was on point, and the portions were huge, if I'm ever back in Colonia, Luna Pizza is a definite stop.
Upon first moving back to Colonia, Luna's was the first pizza venture due to convenience. That was almost 13 years ago pre pandemic. I have seen many negative reviews, some I sadly must agree with. But for the neighborhood family I look after barely 1.1 miles away from Luna, along with my fam and myself, we still love their pies. It wasn’t what i consider NY style pizza - for that, i expect a large, thin, slice that you fold. This wasn’t that. Maybe more like a grandma crust - a little thicker than standard Nu but light and crispy.
The staff was fine and i had satisfying interactions. No worries. Seems like a great local shop. I’ll be back
