We were so excited when EG's truck came to our town for a festival. Man, were we disappointed! Empanadas were overpriced, had terrible flavor & were stale. We tried a variety, but none were even passable. I tried the Cuban sandwich which had to be the worst ever. I've grown up with Latin food and was so disappointed in this. My husband is Hispanic and agreed 100%. Pork Chops BBQ in Flemington is 10x better, as is Annabella's Pizza for outstanding empanadas. As far as food trucks go, Empanada Lady is #1.

The Old guy with gray hair and wears a truckers hat..HAS A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE TOWARDS BLACK PEOPLE! First my girlfriend asked for a beef empanad the guys yells at her "hold on"! As she is trying to insert her debit card for paymen.. Then hands a Korean lady her her bag with a soft voice..we didn't let it get to us then my girlfriend tried to insert her card again and he says with base in his voice " it has to be over a $9 minimum "! And I said to him "why waste our time then!" But he doesn't answer and we just simply left...I don't have time for racist people.

This spot simply knows how to treat their customers. Consistently with a super friendly demeanor. The food is reasonably priced, always fresh and clean.
Got 2 beef empanadas at the Tannersville Crossing food truck. Mediocre. Not a lot of flavor and very salty. Also, mine and my wife's first bite was just dough. So they're not loaded. Also should have been bigger for $4.25 each. My wife makes a better tasting empanadas without all the salt.

Used to be great when the truck was on rt. 27 in iselin, since it has moved to its new location the quality of the food is cheap.. if you see the empanada guy keep driving and go to jose tejas instead.. the long wait at jose's is better than being disappointed at the guy.. also the women in the truck is very rude, so beware if you ask for a straw or extra napkins as she may have a smart remark for you... its part of business to supply customers..
