I left 3 stars. My daughter ordered $160 worth of take out. The order consisted of many things that were expectedly enjoyable to eat. Nothing above average. 3 stars for the money spent and NOT getting any rice. When asked, we were told it was an extracharge.
No one wants to hear that rice, after ordering black beans is an extra charge. In all good conscience I would never use them again for that reason alone.

Very clean and the owner himself served me, rang me up and had me his personal recommendations for me to try. The food was filling I had more than enough and they even gave me a platter to take home. I did wait little before being served but he’s a very friendly host which led to the wait, I’m hoping anyways. But I would recommend for sure. He speaks to every customer on a personal level which is especially rare the days. The owner is definitely well established in the community...

The owner Louis and his mother were awesome!! This food was some of the best Dominican food I have had state side. I had the beef tripe, pig feet, fried pork belly, and guava cheesecake. Everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection, and the guava cheesecake was quite the surprise, I did not know I was going to like it that much.
