“We recently visited Halal Kabab and Curry and had a great experience. The samosas were crispy, the chicken biryani was flavorful, and the butter chicken was rich and creamy. The chicken karahi tasted fresh and authentic, and the butter naan and garlic naan were soft and perfect.

The mango lassi was refreshing, and the kark tea at the end was excellent. Everything felt freshly made, and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely a spot worth visiting again!“

“I've tried a couple things from here and they're all absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious, made with love. My typical go to is the fish over rice, always super absolutely delicious.

“I recently tried the chicken karahi and chicken tikka boti with naan, and everything was freshly made and full of flavor. The karahi had that rich, traditional taste, and the tikka boti was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. The naan was soft and complemented the dishes really well.

What really stood out to me was the samosa—it instantly reminded me of Pakistan. The taste, texture, and spices felt truly authentic, like something you’d get back home.

“A great little neighborhood restaurant for dining in or taking out. Due to the pandemic, I hadn’t ordered from Desi Village for a while, and didn’t realize just how much I missed their delicious Indian cuisine only a short walk from where I live in Spruce Hill/University City. I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve ordered from their large menu. I make a beeline there for samosas during the semi-annual Baltimore Avenue strolls. Tonight, my spicy Aloo Choley was excellent, as usual. I highly recommend Desi Village for casual, inexpensive, and delicious dining.“
