This is a great Italian deli with delicious premade dishes. They are expensive but quality. But the deli meats and sub sandwiches aren’t as good as other local Italian delis like Italian Riviera in Waldwick.
Great place, one of the best in NJ, up there with Fiore's in Hoboken, and Michael's Salumeria in Lyndhurst.I took one star off because the music in the place is so loud it's hard to hear your server.
Realist italian deli you can come by in North Jersey.
From Italian American classic to authentic dishes from the mother land.
Best in imported vinegars, pasta and so much more.
Was able to get some last minute sandwiches for the super bowl today

Great sandwiches and amazing Italian bread
Nice little specialty shop with imported goods and friendly people.
I think the sandwiches are better than a typical Italian deli. The ingredients and portions are great. However—the bread all three times has bordered on stale it was so tough to eat, and The freestanding vegetables are obnoxiously expensive for no reason (broccoli rabb that I can make better at home with garlic was like 15 bucks for a tiny portion.)
The prices are a rip off. There’s just no other way to put it. Greedy owners. I picked up a condiment they were selling, and I looked it up online and it was quadruple the price it was on the official website of the product. QUADRUPLE.
If you are rich and don’t really care about throwing away your money, then go for it, the food is fine, but I would say if they really have a lot of nerve charging what they charge. The best thing they sell IMO is a very tasty chicken soup that has a lot of good ingredients in it for when I’m sick. Even a quart of that is almost 15$. They charge city prices but it ain’t gourmet. Too bad it’s all we’ve got around here.
Best Italian hero around
Just used the catering service here and it was amazing. All our guests loved the food! Will definitely use them for future parties!

So far I have only sampled a few items from the store... Great service friendly knowledgeable...
Mozarella is one of the best I've had in this entire area outstanding...mozzarella sticks that they making house are incredible and don't sleep on their stuffed breads...They have a variety of stuffed breads and they're all incredible because they are all layered perfectly.
It's like eating a sandwich and every bite you get just the proper amount of proportion very well done on the stuffed breads next time I'm going to try the butcher section.
So far so good , great place
Ordered 5 sandwiches for lunch at 10:45 , gave credit card and got to A & S 40 minutes later and had to wait for them to make. Sandwiches were thrown together with no TLC. I got a lump of prosciutto with a lump of mozzarella and a folded red pepper. It was just not very good. Too much meat and cheese was not evenly spread out. They also screwed up the credit card. For $80+ it wasn’t very appealing.
The best caprese pasta salad taste I ever had. Thank you so much. I will be returning!
Chinese owners can’t be Italian and run a successful pork store. These people are too cheap and not friendly similar to a Chinese restaurant. Go to uncle gusseppi in Ramsey for a real Italian experience. a & S will be out of business soon.
This is a great neighborhood Italian Store Everything is fresh and delicious, especially the sandwiches and the service is friendly Just 2 suggestions 1. Too much sugar in the Capanata 2 No need to add salt to the tuna salad - It's delicious, just a little too salty. I'll be back.
